Pointy.
Out of all the things that it could rain, knives would be the worst thing.
For one thing, everyone would have to be extra careful about keeping inflatables outside because they might get punctured by a sudden downpour. All those cool inflatable pools people have in their yards would be gone. Then where would we have pool parties on the cheap?
Also, knives would get a lot less expensive since they’d be falling out of the sky all over the place. Probably a lot of knife companies would go out of business and all the knife factory workers would lose their jobs.
Plus, it would be so loud! Can you imagine trying to sleep while a rainstorm of knives pounded against your roof? Everyone in rainy climates would have sleep deprivation all the time and they’d be really grumpy and rude.
Oh, and also a lot of people would get hurt and probably some of them would die. So that wouldn’t be so good either.
Features
Kershaw Injection 3.5
The Kershaw Injection 3.5 Pocket Knife, designed by knifemaker Todd Rexford, offers custom details without the custom price. From the tip of its classic drop-point blade to its 3D-machined G-10 handle, this knife offers streamlined good looks. Details like decorative pivot hardware and machined thumbstuds give the Injection a high-end look and feel. The G-10 handle features six incised cutouts on each side, letting you see through to the stainless steel liners. The G-10 is slightly textured for a secure grip. Even the backspacer is cool; it's chamfered (cut at an angle) on the back end. The lanyard pin is inset so nothing interrupts the smooth line of the knife.
- 8Cr13MoV stainless steel with bead-blasted finish
- 3 1/2 inch blade length
- Drop point blade with straight edge
- Manual opening
- 3D-machined G-10 handle with texture for secure grip
- Steel locking liner
- Machined thumbstuds
- Reversible pocketclip for left- or right-handed carry
Manual Opening
There is no mechanical assist, such as SpeedSafe, used to open the folding knife. It opens the classic, old-school way.
Liner Lock
Locks the blade open during use; one side of the knife’s steel “liner,” the steel plate to which the handle scales are attached, moves into position behind the blade to securely lock it open.
Reversible
Pre-drilled holes in the handle enable the user to change either the tip position or the side on which the knife carries.
Kershaw Leek
Like other Leeks, this one features a task-ready 3-inch blade, slim, easy-to-carry design, and cutting versatility. The modified drop-point blade shape makes it a good slicing knife, while the slim tip gives it excellent piercing and detail work capabilities. Built of Sandvik 14C28N high-performance stainless steel, the Leek’s blade comes razor sharp out of the box and holds its edge, too. Whether you’re left-handed or right-handed, it’s easy to open your Leek one-handed with SpeedSafe assisted opening. A simple pull back on the ambidextrous blade protrusion or push outward on the thumbstud and the Leek’s blade is ready to go to work.
The handle is anodized aluminum; the same kind used in many aircraft and spacecraft applications. The purple color is a fade-resistant, scratch-resistant dye that’s permanently bonded to the aluminum. Looks good now, looks good later, too. For safety, a locking liner keeps the blade locked open during use and a Tip-Lock slider locks it closed when folded. The pocketclip is reversible for tip-up or tip-down carry and the handle is drilled to accept a lanyard.
