The solid state disk is manufactured for the OEM IBM by Sandisk. It is part of the CloudSpeed 1000 series and is an enterprise grade solid state drive. It is perfect for computers that contain a 1.8" uSATA interface or in conjunction with a 1.8" to 2.5" hard drive adapter for computers using the standard 2.5" form factor (hard drive adapter not included).
Using the SATA III 6GB/s interface protocol, it provides noticable increase in system performance with sequential read speeds of up to 450MB/s and sequential write speeds of up to 400MB/s. As an enterprise grade drive, it generates less heat and provides longer lifespans than its consumer counterparts. With a capacity of up to 400GB, it has the capability to save a substantial amount of files and data.
