We are all star stuff. Even this TV.

Sure, it’s got HD resolution, five video display options, and a built-in light sensor to adjust the TV backlight for optimal picture quality based on the lighting of your room. But that’s not the amazing part.

You see, the elements that make up this television: the glass, the gold, the silicon, the plastic, it all was born billions of years ago in the tremendous explosions of stars collapsing and fusing elements together as they exploded in supernovae. Everything on our little watery home, from the iron in the core to the clouds in the sky and every living being in between was born in a star somewhere.

And all of it came together over time immeasurable to form the minerals farmed from the ground and the flesh on the bones of the people who took it, developed the science to create a television, and sold it to you so you could sit on your butt and watch SportsCenter in bed.
