We’re going to be honest. We know the CyberPower USB 2.0 4-Port Hub will accept your USB devices. We know that the four rechargeable batteries that come with the CyberPower USB 2.0 4-Port Hub allow this hub to recharge itself when plugged in to your computer. That all makes absolute perfect sense to us and we’re happy to put it in writing. But…

Well, the thing is, we’re not really good with electricity. In fact, our good friend Kevin (you remember Kevin) doesn’t even know how to change a light bulb. And us, there’s no point in asking us to do anything. If it were up to us we’d still be asking monks to write out all of our copy by hand with giant letters at the beginning. It would certainly be pretty but do you have any idea how much it costs to keep monks on staff? We looked into it, you know. And it’s cheaper just to keep buying a new lamp every time Kevin’s light bulb burns out.

So what that all means is that the CyberPower USB 2.0 4-Port Hub may or may not charge your device while it is running. We know the batteries have an output current of 500mA per port with a +5v DC output voltage, but you might as well tell us that strawberries train dolphins to ski because we went to a liberal arts college. Except for Kevin, who has a trust fund because his father owns the lamp company we buy from. He swears that’s not a conflict of interest, so what can we do? Besides daydream about those clever strawberries, high in the mountains of Colorado. Sigh.

Anyway, we think the CyberPower USB 2.0 4-Port Hub is going to be great for your external devices, and if you normally get one of those nagging “This Device Needs Power” messages when you plug in a keyboard or mouse or data stick or whatever, we’re pretty sure the batteries will cover that. But you’re going to have to figure out what the 500mA means on your own. Because we truthfully have no idea.
