What a Cushe-y job. 

A slipper with a firm sole? That's the softness of a slipper with the sure-footedness of a sneaker, right? What luxury! It's the best of both worlds!

Well, sort of.

A slipper with a firm sole poses a very specific problem. The cushion of molded EVA and injected blown rubber leads the wearer to believe that he can take them on adventures on which traditional slippers would never be allowed. Need to walk down the street to the corner store for milk? Need to run out to your car late at night because you forgot something in there? No worries! You've got protection! You've got support! You don't need to worry about the under-cloth getting dirty or something poking you in the heel. The rubber has you covered.

But the more you take your slippers out, the more soiled they get, and the less welcome they are in their natural domain: the indoors. A slipper that's been clomping down sidewalks or through dirt is a threat to carpets and clean tiles. They must, therefore, be confined to the shoe basket with the other shoes, except, they can't go as far. So, what you've done is made them lesser than both shoes and slippers. They cannot make the rounds inside. They cannot go far outside. They're quick errand-runners, and that is all.

What we're saying is this: enjoy your Cushe Slippers and their firm soles, but also, be careful!
