No, I got this Acu-Rite Wireless Digital Cooking and Barbeque Thermometer. Because I hate sitting outside in the sun watching meat sizzle. Because we COULD be saving the world if you’d throw a freakin’ molotov instead of standing there getting pounced on by that zombie in the hoodie. There we go! Now THAT guy’s burnt, unlike our burgers and kebobs.

Oh, it came with six Firewire Flexible Grilling Skewers so I made kebobs. Yeah, just marinated ‘em right on the line like that. I didn’t even have to bring tongs; the long end sits off the fire and you can turn ‘em by hand. Well I’ll KNOW when to turn them because my pager will go off. No, no one’s out there watching the meat with my pager number. The thermometer will page me. Yeah, it IS kinda like waiting for a table at Olive Garden. Get that fat guy before he explodes! Oh, man, you’re screwed.

No man, it’s the perfect cookout. Did you see the humidity today? Who wants to sit outside? I mean I guess I could use it on a smoker or an oven or a deep fryer, but I don’t want all that heat in the kitchen either. The only downside is the range on this bad boy is about 100 feet, but that should cover from the backyard to the front room, right? Oh, and it doesn’t come with the two AA batteries you need, but whatever.

Come to think of it, that thing probably should’ve beeped an hour ago.
