Steamin'
You guys, I know that this thing seems great: rice whenever you want it. But be careful. By using a rice cooker, you're making the rice industry too big T-fal.
It's too easy. You load this thing up with 8 cups of rice and it cooks it without you having to do anything. And when it finishes cooking, it'll keep the rice warm. Soon you'll be making rice all the time. You'll need it. You won't be able to get through your day without at least three bowls of rice.
But what if Big Rice starts to go under? You can't just let it just die because too many people depend on it. So, then there'll be a bailout, our debt'll bigger, taxes will go up. It's terrible.
So before you buy, ask yourself: is it worth it in the long term?

Top Comments are discussion forum posts we have deemed worthy of your time. Listen, we get a lot of comments, and most of the time, it's pretty forgettable stuff; but sometimes you rise to the top like butterfat in milk. We don't recommend you base your self-worth on how often we feature your comments, but we don't expressly forbid it either.
