Best Bang for the Buck

With all the advertising hype these days, it is a pleasant surprise when a product exceeds my expectation. This is a great automatic vacuum and mop robot for the price. I have two older similar machines and still use one of them in my bedroom, but they suffer from several problems that have been solved beautifully by this machine. The Lidar (Light Detection and Ranging) system along with the AirRobo T20 app are a real game changer. Just find a place for the base, start the robot, and it will map the entire floor space on your phone. It is easy to then set various areas of the map as no mop or off-limits areas. You can even name and designate any area as a room and tell it to clean just that area. You can also create multiple maps to choose from if you are one of those people that likes to rearrange the furniture. I have lots of cats, live on a dirt road and have a very lived in home. Those older units would be fine in a pristine environment, but this machine is smart. It knows where everything is, adjust for temporary obstacles, and does the same job in half the time. It will empty the solid waste automatically into the housing unit or, never which is my choice, since I like to see what it picks up. The mopping function works surprisingly well on my ceramic tile floors. Certainly not as good as those $1,200 units, but for $900 I can use a mop. There are similar units in this price range without LiDAR, but in my opinion don't even consider one of those. This is what puts this unit way ahead of the others.

OK vacuum but great customer service

I purchased this vacuum because my old one went out. It works decent, so I decided to keep it since I got a good deal (coupon for $120 off), however, if not for the coupon, I wouldn't have kept it. Now that I have used it for a little while I do have concerns about if that was the right decision, but I think my return window is up. Pros -Very quiet even on mid-level suction. It can be in a room and I cannot hear it even in the next room which is great. -The suction is pretty good, though not nearly as good as my previous model which cost less. -The app is good and allows you to select zones, rooms, schedule cleaning, etc. -It took a few times to full map the house, but once it did, it was accurate. Cons -The QR code sent with the machine for the app NEVER found the vacuum. I happen to have smart bulbs in my house and a completely different app (Tuya Smart) associated with my smart bulbs located the vacuum, or else I would not benefit from the app. -This is a no-name vacuum, so it is impossible to google or search YouTube for help. There is no brand on the box or machine. -There is no water bin for mopping only to empty the dust bin. This is somewhat deceptive in my opinion in the product description. -When mopping, it doesn't avoid carpet areas. It sprays water on my rugs! -Even though it has a schedule feature, you cannot leave the vacuum unattended. It constantly says the main brush is stuck. I have noticed it does this even when nothing is in the main brush. For example, it said it because my grandson's kickball was in front of it. I just hit play on the app and it went around the ball with no problem. nothing was stuck, but yet it caused the vacuum to stop. UPDATE: After posting my review the seller reached out to me. They sent several user videos to help and troubleshoot my issues. I wish these videos came with the vacuum, and I hope in the future they will provide a QR code or link to the videos. They offered to send me a new vacuum or give me a refund to make it right. I chose to just get a refund. Even though this vacuum was not exactly what I wanted, the customer service was superior. My review is based on my experience and it could be that the one I received was defective. If you are considering this vacuum, it may be worth a try, and if does not work out just reach out to the seller.
