Janwold Dash Camera

This is a basic inexpensive dashcam. It's not *bad*, but in my opinion the shortcomings outweigh the pros, so I'd go with something else. Pros: ~~~~~ Day-time image quality is good (though I prefer 4k resolution, but then again, we are talking basic and inexpensive here). I did not test at night, so not commenting on that. Good set of features you'd expect (1/2/3 min loop, timelapse mode, parking monitor, impact sensor). 32GB microSD card is included (and should be plenty enough for everyday use). Includes cigarette plug adapter and a USB-C power cable (note: need to purchase additional cable if want to wire into the fuse box. Several adhesive patches included. Cons: ~~~~~ * Instruction manual is poor, but I managed. * Lacks Bluetooth or Wifi connectivity to pair with on smartphone/tablet, so your only option to review is on a tiny screen or to pull out the card. * The mount to the windshield is permanent (i.e. NO WAY TO DETACH the dashcam once it is installed)... good luck reviewing videos on the tiny screen *that is now forever affixed in front of your rear-view mirror!*) * There is no cabin-facing camera (which is absolutely fine for this price point) but much worse is that the mount DOES NOT ROTATE. It tilts slightly up or down, but it absolutely can not rotate around vertical axis to be pointed towards driver or passenger side windows (e.g. if you want to record police interaction during a traffic stop). All in all, I ended up returning it and picked something else (Miofive S1 Pro).
