These compression boots covered my feet, calves and thighs. Each side zips from the foot up to the knee and each thigh portion is secured with velcro tabs. The heating mechanism works well for all three areas: feet, thighs and calves. The compression capability has two different modes: pinch and press, with an auto option that cycles between the pinch and the press, repeatedly. The compression modes can be set at minimum, mid or max. The heat capability can be set to a low, medium or high setting. I found the press mode of the compression capability to be most helpful and comfortable for me. I did not use auto or pinch mode, as I found them to be uncomfortable. The compression boots come with a handy, easy to use remote as well as a DC adapter with a six foot cord. The power cord must be plugged in to use the compression boots. A storage bag is included- I found that everything fit well into the bag. It was helpful in relieving my muscle cramping.
