WOW! Game-changer for a pet-friendly home!

This vacuum is awesome!! I had NO IDEA how much my old vacuum was leaving behind. With pets, I vacuum constantly and my old vacuum was on its last leg. I started vacuuming with the Shark once I received it to test it out and ended up vacuuming the whole house because I was so impressed by how clean the carpets looked and felt. I was hesitant to buy a refurbished vacuum but, other than minor wear such as scratches, it’s in great condition and each part works very well! Amazing price for a really great item! This vacuum is very powerful without being that heavy, and is really maneuverable. Easy to figure out (i.e. how to empty canister, attachments, etc.) and all the different attachments are very useful for getting the hard-to-reach spots where pet tumbleweeds tend to hide. I will be sticking with Shark for a lot of appliances now!

Fine for average cleaning , but not for a house that has heavy duty needs.

The house is infested by a white German shepherd that sheds an insane amount of hair (this from someone that had a Belgian shepherd & traditional shepherd before, so I’m familiar with shedding monsters. I vacuum twice a week on carpet upstairs & have a Roomba that does the first floor daily. The Roomba needs to be emptied daily & my cheaper 10 year old Bissell I usually empty twice each time. The Shark went together quick & easy, renewed but looked new. It’s quieter & easier to use, definitely more nimble & switching between hard & carpet was easy. Lift away was ok for the stairs, not a big win for me but handy. Hand tools did well on the couch & dog beds. No storage for the tools on-board so I’ll be looking for them all the time! Emptied it twice, just downstairs on the furniture. Upstairs, I had to empty it 4 times & each time involved getting my hand in there to dislodge hair & dust clumps. I’d hoped that was because it did such a better job, but after I was done I went over the upstairs again with the old vac & got another 1/4 fill of hair & dirt. All-in-all, not what I’d hoped for. Fine for average cleaning , but I wouldn’t recommend it for a house that has heavy duty needs.
