Bright UV light, rechargeable, removable tray, foldable feet, can stand or hang, works great.

I own quite a few bug zappers. I have a couple of electric fly swatters and a few outdoor solar bug zappers. I got this rechargeable zapper for inside my home. I like that it has foldable legs so you can stand it up. The legs have eyelets that allow you to screw it down so it won't tip over. I chose not to screw it down. The legs are sturdy enough without a screw. If you have pets or children, then maybe it's a good idea to screw it down. There are eyelets on the back if you want to hang it on a wall. There is a removable tray that catches the bugs when they fall. I like that the lights are very bright. The surface area for the zapper is much bigger than my others. It is lightweight and has a handle to carry it. You could also hang it on a wall with the soft silicone handle. There is an onboard cleaning brush for any bugs that might stick to the zapper. The lights on this are bright and better than I expected. I would like to point out that some bugs aren't attracted to light. Mosquitoes are one of them insects. If you want to use this to get mosquitoes, you need some kind of bait to put in the removable bug catcher tray. This is not a problem for me. I got this mainly for flies. It's usually flies that sneak into my house, and they are attracted to UV light. If you are getting this zapper for a certain kind of bug, I suggest you research the insect to make sure they are attracted to UV lights. Last year, I had yellow jackets enter my home, and they started building a nest. I called in a professional, and he brought a UV light sticky trap. The light he brought caught a bunch of the yellow jackets. So I can confirm that yellow jackets are attracted to UV lights. Although I haven't had many flies as the weather cools down, this has done a great job on the few that have snuck in.

Zapping the bugs!
By A.C Warneke on Reviewed in the United States on October 15, 2024
Edit 11/11/24 This little zapper just doesn't hold a charge long enough and after a short period of time, it just doesn't seem to work at all. When I ordered this, it was still summer and mosquitoes and little annoying bugs were out in full force. It didn't arrive until mid-October and I thought I wouldn't have the chance to test it out. But I set it up anyway for those late bugs and let me just say it scared the beejebus out of me when it zapped one! It sounded like someone stepped on a plastic fork but no one was moving - it took way too long to realize it WAS the bug zapper and it was doing its job! It's pretty small - about 9x11 - but it's big enough to attract the bugs. There are three ways of setting it up - screw it down, screw it into a wall, or hang it by the handle (I chose the third option so I could move it around as needed.) It has a small collection tray for the zapped bugs and it is rechargeable.
