Finally a Wireless Carplay Adapter that always works!
By KJPLogistics on Reviewed in the United States on October 14, 2024
I just had to write a review for this! My new (last year) car only came with Wired CarPlay which was a total hassle and even picky about cables. I tried another cheaper CarPlay adapter and was very unhappy with the issues it caused. Constantly unstable, disconnecting, and when it did work the audio was poor and tinny sounding. This new 2024 model with the newest upgraded Wi-Fi and Bluetooth chips/technology doesn't have any of those issues! The frustration is gone! Its very stable and I am thrilled to not have any more disconnects. The sound and video transmission/quality is very good and most importantly stable. If you haven't used one of these devices before its super simple. You plug this adapter into the CarPlay USB port in your vehicle, ensure your Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are on on your phone and presto. You can be connected in just a few seconds. And better yet, it remembers and reconnects each time you turn on the car. They say its very compatible for over 800 models. It worked great in the 3 cars I've tested. I didn't have any issues but its nice to know that if you do they have a professional technical team that's easy to work with and the ability to work through issues remotely if needed. From my experience this does exactly what its supposed to, in a nice small package that just works. As small as it is they even includes a pad to mount it up out of the way too. Recommended!

Works most of the time, but....
By Richard D. on Reviewed in the United States on November 16, 2024
Sometimes it doesn't. For no particular reason, it won't load. The light is initially solid, then when I connect the BT to the dongle, it starts flashing. Wireless is also connected to the dongle. I've unplugged it, restarted the car and it just won't work. After thirty minutes I came back and it worked fine. It's generally unreliable about 20% of the time. I have an old Carplay head (2016 Yukon) and another problem is if you're playing, for example, Sirius and you get a phone call, it doesn't shut off the Sirius sound (plugged in does mute it). I'd love for someone with experience to suggest how to reconnect it when it fails.
