Mario & Luigi: Brothership for Nintendo Switch
By Benjamin on Reviewed in the United States on April 14, 2025
A Hilarious, Heartfelt, and Heroic Return for the Bros! Mario & Luigi: Brothership is exactly the comeback we’ve all been waiting for—and it absolutely delivers. This new entry in the beloved RPG series captures the perfect balance of humor, adventure, and clever gameplay that made the originals so iconic, while also introducing fresh elements that make it feel brand new. The story is classic Mario & Luigi—charming, quirky, and full of laugh-out-loud moments. The writing is sharp, with hilarious dialogue and tons of personality from every character, especially our two goofy heroes. Their sibling dynamic is as endearing as ever, and watching them work together never gets old. Gameplay-wise, Brothership nails it. The turn-based combat system is still incredibly fun, with timed button presses and combo moves that keep battles active and engaging. It’s not just mash-and-win—you really have to pay attention, and that keeps things interesting. The new mechanics introduced (like co-op powers and new gear systems) add just the right amount of depth without overcomplicating things. The visuals are bright, colorful, and beautifully animated—this is easily the best-looking game in the series. The environments are varied and creative, and there’s a ton of attention to detail in every location. The music is upbeat, catchy, and fits perfectly with the tone of the game. Whether you're a long-time fan or jumping into the series for the first time, Mario & Luigi: Brothership is a must-play. It’s packed with heart, humor, and a whole lot of fun. Nintendo has truly brought this legendary duo back in style!

Fun at first but then fizzled out
By Patricia on Reviewed in the United States on June 27, 2025
Loved this game at first. Was fun and engaging. I did get to a point where I couldn’t beat a level even though I got to the “cakewalk” mode. Stopped playing for the time being because it was getting frustrating and annoying.
