They Work!!!!
By Christopher L Webb on Reviewed in the United States on June 10, 2025
I was skeptical regarding performance. Will these lower dB and maintain clarity? The answer is 'YES'. I had these for a while but didn't have the opportunity to use them. That changed this past weekend when I took a young friend to see Metallica. 5 hours, 3 bands, two nights...I was very concerned with long term hearing damage so I grabbed my pair of Loop Switches and put them in the moment the band started. This show was amazingly LOUD. The loudest rock show I believe I have ever heard. The Loop Switches were incredible. They brought the volume down to a highly manageable level. The switch feature allowed me to dial in my comfort level and I learned that switch seems to actually affect how much high frequencies come through. I ended up using the most extreme noise reduction level for these two nights of Metallica and my ears responded as if I never attended. That is, no ear fatigue, muted response, ringing, pain. The loop Switch was a heavy hitting hero. So glad I had these and absolutely recommend to anyone concerned with noise exposure.

I wanted so badly to love these
By SpeckledFreckle on Reviewed in the United States on December 6, 2024
I was so excited to get these. I already have the Loops Experience that come with the removable silicone inserts. As the title says, I wanted so badly to love these, but, I just don’t, so I rarely or never use them. Pros: Cancels out a *lot* of noise. They seem pretty durable. The color is pretty. Cons: These are bulkier by design so that they can do what they’re meant to do. Unfortunately, I find them to be too bulky for my comfort. And, I find it uncomfy in a Neuro Spicy kinda way to adjust the levels while they’re in my ears. Like I can *hear* the *feeling* of the switch sliding and that’s a weird kind of discomfort… lol Also, they cancel *too much* noise and I cannot wear these if I need to carry on conversations with folks. Since I rarely go to concerts these days, I can’t find much use for these as that’s the only time I think I’ll wear them. The other thing is that I don’t find a significant enough difference when switching between levels to help this problem. While I can tell there’s a difference, even on the lowest setting I still cannot easily hear or understand other people talking to me. So, my ‘daily driver’ so to speak (lol) are my Loops Experience, instead. And yes, I use my Loops daily! Don’t get it twisted: Loops are incredible and a total game changer for autistic, ADHD, PTSD, etc. I’m not gonna get rid of these, but I just don’t use the Switch ones daily.
