Works good and has different intensity settings as well as different temperature settings. It took me a little while to learn what worked best for my really long hair. I feel it works better with wet hair and once I get to the other side of my head the curls have to be redone sometimes simce the hair is dry. I usually start with the high temp and go down to cool to set the curl better. It also works much faster if you turn up the intensity to medium. I usually let it sit for about 10 seconds on high and 10 on cool then spray my curl with hair spray.

I gave this to my daughter as a Christmas present, so less than 4 months old and NOT used daily and it's already broken. It won't turn on and just makes a weird sound and a burnt electrical smell came out. I was really hopeful that it would last and we'd been enjoying it until then. I haven't used the luxury brands of a similar style, so I can't compare, but I did like the quietness of it and felt like it got adequately hot and dried quickly. The button to change the heat settings was not placed well and we'd often accidentally turn the heat off while using it. But don't waste money on it IMO, since it'll likely break in a few months apparently.
