Good value dashcam with some issues

Nice unit and presentation but I purchased it to replace a camera that didn't have smartphone connection for accessing and download of video. Guess what? I've not been able to get this one connected either. I'll keep it because I've gone past the return window and now have another hobby trying to get this thing working right. For those who have issues with adhesion to the windshield, a) be certain to clean it with 90% isopropyl alcohol and b) don't think it's cool to stick it to the black matrix on the edge or behind the mirror. The sun heats that up much more and it's guaranteed to have your camera hanging by the wire.
