Pitaka iPad Pro MagEZ Folio 2 offers some unique design features
By William R. Petro on Reviewed in the United States on April 11, 2023
I've been using Pitaka cases for my iPhones for years, and consider them the best in the industry. The new MagEZ Folio 2 iPad Cover shows promise of being in the same league. It is well-engineered, has a fine fit & finish, and is highly functional. Design: It is easy to compare this to previous Origami-style cover for iPads or Kindles, but this has a number of significant differences. The design is simple and uncomplicated, unlike competing brands that have very involved folds and reticulations: the Pitaka has just four panels. Its camera cut-out will fit older iPad models that have a single camera lens or more modern ones that have three camera lenses. Materials: Inside is a soft microfiber surface that will not scratch the back or glass of the iPad. The outside cover is a polyurethane material that is not only sturdy and well built but has a leather-like surface that makes it easy to hold without that common slippery feel. The strong magnets hold the iPad securely in place. Features: The iPad enclosures you buy are usually divided into three styles: covers, cases, and keyboard combinations. Unique among cover-style iPad holders like this one: an Apple Pencil strap to hold it in securely. Without the Apple Pencil attached, it will keep the cover secure from accidentally opening. The cover provides instant-on/instant-off capabilities, expected of magnetic covers; the strap adds additional safety. There are four configurations of this cover for common uses of an iPad: 34° tilt for drawing or typing, 53° tilt for landscape streaming, 57° tilt for Facetime calls, and 62° tilt for portrait document reading. Summary: Pros: - Well designed - Quality material - Highly functional Cons: - This is a nitpick: The QR code on the paper wrapping over the package shipping content does not take the user to the YouTube video for this product but to other Pitaka cover videos. But you don't need it, the wrapping has pictures to show you all the features.

The best case ever! - iPad Air M3
By Mindful Maverick on Reviewed in the United States on July 3, 2025
This case is truly amazing! It feels better that outdated overpriced dinosaur floppy mess which doesn't even stay flush against the screen useless$79.99 apple folio - apple needs to retire that POS -yesterday This case feels so much better! I can fold it the 4 ways very easily. I use vertical for reading the news with coffee - or documents. Right now, I am on the lowest angle - 37° I believe? That one took me a minute to figure out. But it's great for writing w/ the Apple Pencil pro. The light blue is gorgeous! No fingerprints! The darker colors must show them more. I wanted lightweigh. i cannot stand heavy otterbox type cases. To me, A defeats the purpose of getting an iPad Air. I only ever had the ridiculous apple folio before this, this feels luxurious!!! It is sturdy, idk how people can say that it's not... To the folks who cannot seem read---uh.... Doesn't work with the new iPad pro M4.says so right on the page.. My only gripe is the sleep/wake function is not working for me. I never this problem before. Hopefully this a setting on my iPad change to fix - but honestly, I doubt it because it worked with my other case Ian bummed. I'm going to try the MOFT case to see which I like better. I just wish it would put the iPad to sleep...I will share some photos and a video of the iPad not sleeping or waking upon opening and closing. Other than that, best light weight case on the market!
