Great quality!

This is a GREAT water bottle. With the wide mouth, it is easy to fill with ice. It is not as huge as some bottles, which was one of the reasons that I chose it; it is not bulky, it's easy to hold, and it fits in our car's cup holders. A bit pricey, but this is a quality item. Used it today and it kept my ice water COLD. Now my husband wants his own! My research paid off. Go for it!

**Updated review with rating change** Indigo is a beautiful color

I purchased my Hydro Flask bottle in October 2023. I’ve had Hydro Flask bottles in multiple sizes but recent.y I purchased a new 16 Oz wide mouth one (I take it to work or place in a bag, it’s small and not very heavy at all) because it’s dishwasher safe now. My older bottles still need to be washed by hand which can be inconvenient. I’ve really like the convenience of just putting it in the dishwasher at the end of the day so much I decided to buy a new 32 Oz as well. This is my new “home water bottle” as it just hangs around then house keeping me hydrated. Maybe it’s just me, but I prefer a closed container such as this to drink from rather than an open glass that’s a perfect place for amoebas, dust (google what dust is made of and you’ll be grossed out) and anything else (hello flu and COVID) floating around in the air. Normal drinking glasses are fine in the short term, not trying to dissuade or discourage using them. I’m sure it’d love to go on an adventure like other Hydro Flasks, alas it’s not very likely. I purchased both my new bottles in the color “Indigo” which is a lovely dark blue. The finish seems to be as good as the other bottles I own. I like the new bottle neck design change compared to the older Hydro Flasks that I have because It just looks more seamless and pleasing to the eye. My water is maintained at a glacial degree which is very refreshing. I did buy a neoprene sleeve rather than a silicone boot to keep it looking it’s best. So far I have no complaints buy will update if anything changes. **Update 02/28/2024 and rating change** I purchased this 32 ounce in October 2023, and today is February 28, 2024. I still love it and the above review still holds true but with one huge exception which is why I dropped the rating. For the last couple of days I’ve noticed that my water tasted off and couldn’t figure out why. This bottle is washed and dried everyday and it has only held water within it. My house has a whole house filter and then I have a secondary filter in my refrigerator to ensure I get the cleanest water possible. I thought I was going nuts because I couldn’t figure out why my water tasted weird. Finally I had someone else taste a glass of water and I also drank out of an actual glass and there was no off taste. So clearly my water wasn’t the issue. I examined my bottle and realized it was rusting on the inside and have included pics as well. It is completely unacceptable after only having this bottle for 5 months! Paying $45 for a premium water bottle should ensure rusting shouldn’t happen and I am not satisfied with this product any longer. I’m past the return or exchange timeframe here on Amazon and TBH no longer feel this is a quality bottle and can no longer recommend it. So I’m changing my rating from 5 stars to only 1 star. Buyer beware. **2nd update** It’s now April 4, 2024, and instead of going through the return process on Hydro Flask’s website which would’ve meant I had to spend money to ship it to them and then wait and see if they agree that rust was a problem before they sent a replacement; I decided to look for alternatives. After much trial and error I discovered that Bar Keepers Friend for Cookware (it’s the blue and silver packaging) gets rid of the rust completely with a scrubbing bottle brush. You can find Bar Keepers Friend for Cookware here on Amazon, but it’s way more expensive here than it is at my local grocery store where it’s only $2.50. My local Home Depot carries it as well but it’s $2 more there since it’s the liquid rather than powder version that they carry. So the rust problem is fixed. I still wash this bottle every day and use Bar Keepers Friend once a week to ensure the rust doesn’t come back. I am still leaving the rating at one star because a premium water bottle that cost $45 should have premium functionality and premium materials that its made out of. Clearly, Hydro Flask does not meet those expectations with my water bottle.
