DrainShroom DrainShroom Reusable Sink Snake Clog Rem

I liked the idea of having something I could just add to my drill for clog removals, but in practical use, this device is lacking. The unit itself is actually only 3 ft long, possibly less, and was not nearly long enough to clear the clog on my bathroom basin, which is what it's specifically designed for. I'm pretty sure it didn't even make it all the way through the p-trap before bottoming out. This means I'm going to have to go buy a longer and more useful rooter. As others have pointed out, this is also too thin, so it has a tendency to coil up rather than rotate when you use your drill. That means, you will get it all the way down to the bottom of the first trap and you're trying to clear that and make the bend, and instead it will coil up on itself and come whipping out of the drain as it uncoils and slings whatever is on it everywhere. It definitely needed to be more rigid, I'm not even sure why there is a handle on it because that honestly is useless for a short as this thing is. You can see in the photo that the plastic clear sheathing around the coil ends up twisted and is likely contributing to the problem rather than helping.
