A cool purchase

When I bought this air conditioner I was a little afraid it would not do the job. I have a 10 by 20 foot room attached to a travel trailer. It is where we spend the majority of our home time. The tv and my desk are in it and in the summer, which we are beginning to enter, the room can get extremely hot and uncomfortable. I unpacked the unit and set it up according to the instructions. It was fairly easy to do. I turned it on and to my surprise very cool air started coming out. Within a few minutes the room started to cool down and become quite comfortable. It has been over a month now and I can say this has been one of my best purchases from Amazon. We love the air conditioner and would recommend it to anyone who has a room or two that need to be cooled down. We've already has very hot days and the room has always stayed quite cool. We love it.

Don’t do it!

I bought this to replace a portable a/c for a 32x22 brick room with excellent insulation. It sucks! It has not kept the room as cool as the 10,000BTU unit I replaced. I have a 18” fan directly in front of it to move the air and another fan on the other side of the room to circulate it. Same set up I had with the previous unit. The far side of the room is warm. The only place it’s cool is directly in front of the unit. The whole room in fact is not as cool as it should be. I have it set on high fan, and the lowest number for degrees, which is 16???? It doesn’t have normal degree numbers such as 62. It only blows out of one side as there is a plate of some kind blocking one side. Overall I’m highly disappointed with this unit and should have returned it. I was just hoping once the room got cool, it would continue to keep it that way being a brick building. Oh yeah, the tube for the window sucks too. Very thin compared to the one I had and falls off easily from the window panel. And the window hardware has to be cut to fit. I used duct tape to hold it together and punched holes in the window hardware then inserted a screw to keep it sized. Waste of money and time.
