Easy to install and works well

I had a similar, larger light in my music room that suddenly simply didn't want to work with the app anymore. I could delete it, re-add it to smartlife, and control it once or twice then it would be offline again. So time to replace it. This one had a decent price, and more importantly, didn't require some annoying little third party app that would only be used for this one item. I've got nearly 150 devices on my home network, and only get things that are compatible with Smartlife, Kasa, or VeSync. What made me even happier was that this one used the same mounting base the other one did, so I simply unscrewed that old one, disconnected the wires, connected them to this, and screwed it in. About 60 seconds of work. Smartlife saw it instantly, got it connected and renamed, and once again I have a reliable smart device I can voice control regularly. Gives enough light for the area, and I like the color bar on the top for when I just want indirect mood lighting.

It works well when it works, but randomly stops

I have had this light for several years at this point. I have had the same wifi from Verizon Fios the entire time. I followed all instructions to set up the light with the app. I have two reoccurring issues. If the light stays on for too long (more than a few days) it will disconnect from the app or turn off and not respond to the wall switch or the app. When it gets like this, I have tried flipping the breaker to completely cut power and re-power it and I have tried disconnecting the device in the app. The problem is I then can't get the light to turn on at all for a few weeks solid. Then, it will randomly turn on. Sometimes it will connect to the app just fine. Unfortunaly, this time (and a handful of other times) I have sunk hours into trying to add the device back to the app and the app will not see the device when its in pair mode. I have tried reconfiguring my router/wifi settings, used all the FAQ's, and am completely unsure how to talk to a real person since the chatbot from the app doesn't help. I would NOT recommend anyone with a Verizon Fios router buy this thing. I have zero issues with any other devices connecting to my wifi but this light has been unnecessarily stressful and disappointing very randomly for 2+ years now. Someday I will be replacing it.
