Idzo Acacia Wooden Obelisk Plant Trellis (Open Box)

Great trellis for my suburban vegetable garden. Sturdy and have had no issues with it, even through some wind events. I did use stakes to reinforce it to the ground as a precaution when I assembled, but that may not have been necessary. My only complaint is that the wire clips are not intuitive and a bit of a pain to use for reinforcing the joints, but I figured them out. The assembly was pretty straightforward, and the directions were clear. Some minor adjustments are needed once assembled to get it looking level and even. It may have been my site, and I was not giving enough attention to levels during the assembly process. High enough to stand up in easily. Great alternative to the cattle panels trellis if you aren't near a farm store! It is sturdy enough that I plan to put greenhouse plastic on the frame this winter to try for a winter crop. Would definitely purchase again!

ok we have some heavy, more solid obelisks and were worried about the quality of this item given the price. We looked at other solid pipe, pre-assembled pieces ranging from $120-250 in price, some of which were much heavier and we thought much sturdier. Our present obelisk is solid tubed and weighs about 10 pounds. This one weighs 5 pounds. The obelisk however is very sturdy and well made and heavier than I thought it would be--we have a terrace and it gets windy and we were worried with the large heavy climbing rose on it, it would blow over. For the price, 18$, this is an exceptional value. Assembly required two people but was straightforward. All the bolts mounted easily and the pipe legs lined up perfectly. Took about 20 minutes to assemble. For the money, this obelisk can't be beat. The diameter is narrower than other obelisks but it is higher than our other obelisks. We sunk it to a depth of about 9 inches so it is very stable. Recommended. we purchased the metal one, not the wooden one.

Wow! Just Wow! I bought 3 of these and decorated them with fairy lights to add whimsy and interest to my garden. They are sturdy and quite large. Much taller than I expected. Pro: came with extra nuts and bolts Con: tools provided are insufficient. You will need a socket driver to sufficiently tighten the screws and nuts. Used with the provided Allen wrench and the job assembles quite quickly.

I started a new hobby buying expensive Rose bushes. I have them in large pots and was frustrated trying to get the flimsy new canes to stand up and hold the large roses. Some that were supposed to be bush style turned out to be wanna be climbers. These new Obelisk's are amazing! The right price and the metal hammer tone look is durable and pretty. I looked at some other metal ones that you don't have to put together but they are really heavy, expensive and hard to transport especially this tall. These are perfect! I cant wait for spring when my bushes explode and they have the support they need and aren't reaching out everywhere. They do take a little time to tighten each and every screw, but worth it and are sturdy once put together. I don't see any pictures on here of the 3 I have bought. I think mine are new and improved and again they are coated metal they look gray.

The only good thing I can say about this is the metal feels sturdy. However-- the nuts and bolts that came with the item did not fit with one another, and the screw for the top piece was too wide to fit the hole in the top piece--so the item could not be assembled. 

WOW! What a well designed, well made, easy to assemble and attractive garden trellis! Our black metal obelisks were beginning to rust and it was hard to keep the climbing rose bushes trained and trimmed. Too much space between the rings, so I had to constantly wire new growth. And it always looked messy! But this is such a sturdy and beautiful wooden piece, that I’m anxious to see how it will look when our cut-back bushes adapt. In the meantime, the trellises (I bought two) are very attractive garden “statements”. (And they are attractively priced…)

I rarely review. Before this one, I looked through the low star reviews. Some of these mention "clips" that this unit does not have. Also, if a product isn't received with all the required hardware, then is should be low rated. My experience was: All the hardware was in the package, and no screw alignment issues during assembly. In fact, it took less than35 minutes to assemble two. I was impressed that the product uses a Ny-Loc type nut, instead of the cheap machine nuts. Also, the screws are Allen head, instead of plain Philips. The coating, which looked like high-end powder material, is uniform and thick. The steel material is more than adequate for our needs. I was expecting wire fence-like construction. I have no way of determining whether the screws will show rust, but it's no problem to give them a dab of Rust-oleum if they do. I have decades in aircraft, automobile, and machine work. Have also had too much experience in getting much less than respectable value. I was pleasantly surprised on this one. If this product is chinsy in any way, then some of the low star reviewers are living in another dimension than I. In the end, I feel that I got at least my money's worth, if not more, for this trellis.

I was not pleased with this purchase but I thought it would be a lot of trouble to return. I have put them together and put in the garden but I don’t think they will hold up. They don’t snap together and stay together very well. They are in a windy location so probably not sturdy enough. I like the looks but the quiz not good.

Easy to put together. Pretty durable.

It’s ok. I’ve only had it for about a month and it’s rusting
