Mostly useless

Yes it'll detect a signal, but you have to be 1" from the source. Put a piece of plastic over the signal source and you have to be closer. Put metal, even a thin sheet of aluminum, and you won't detect a signal even on the highest sensitivity. I tested with my cell phone and it'll only detect if the phone is in the upper right corner. Nowhere else on the phone with it detect anything. A wireless mouse, same thing, you have to be right on top of the mouse to detect a signal. Even if you're right on the source of the signal it doesn't always detect it. Magnetic detection is poor also. One rare earth magnet from an old mechanical HD will be detected 1.25" away...which means you have to been right on the device to detect it. A stack of 8 rare earth magnets can be picked up about 3" away. I haven't tried the camera detection, but my phone can handle that better with a wider field of view. Get this as novelty item and not for "peace of mind" like the bots claim.
