Cheesy Fabric and Poor Blackout Coverage

Cheesy fabric. Online looked like a linen or at least a polyester linen look-a-like but IRL has a sort of small checkered weave and a tacky sheen. It's also not as bright white as I'd hoped for. But probably worse than that is that the blackout backing only covers the center portion of the back of the shade--there is a border of 4-6" on either side where the light comes through. Returning this, plunking down the money for better quality.
