Great vacuum!
By Joey tannie on Reviewed in the United States on March 14, 2025
This vacuum is amazing, I put together and charged it. Man, this vacuum sucked up things my old vacuum misses. It is easy to use and store. On top of that I don't need to mess with the correct while vacuuming. So easy and powerful.

Good execution as a product, durability and lack of parts make it a show stopper
By Movie Listener on Reviewed in the United States on September 3, 2024
LIKES: it sweeps carpet, tile and vinyl flooring well; it's not too noisy; there's no cord or hose to deal with; it reduced sweep time by 1/3; it sweeps better than the old gear; it's pretty easy to clean the unit; it fluffs up carpet whereas old gear mashed it down. DISLIKES: uncomfortable trigger grip for operation -- on/off switch would be a lot better; 4.5 hour battery recharge time; have to find someplace to hang it; no second charging dock included though a second battery was. The unit uses lots of plastic and it's unknown how it will hold up. Downloadable documentation is sufficient if a bit minimalist. This unit replaced a corded Miele upright and a central vac for the house and does a better job in less time with less effort. Overall, I am impressed. This is a good product and have no regrets about the purchase. EDIT I have some parts issues and it looks like Dyson parts are always on backorder? Hard to recommend a product that the manufacturer apparently can't support. 2nd EDIT Wand fit is now kind of loose and getting worse. It won't pick up debris on a tile floor with the standard sweeper attachment. Now it's necessary to attach the quick-cleanup attachment instead. It seems to be self destructing, and for a product at this price level, that's both surprising and unacceptable. While there's quite a bit to like here, it's darned pricey if it won't last even 6 months of use one time per week. I can no longer recommend this product.

I love this cordless vacuum! Love that I can move about the entire house without stopping to unplug, what a time saver. Love the way the suction adjusts as needed. Was easy to attach vacuum holder/charger to the wall. Does not take up much room. Empties super easy. My home is 2,600 square feet with hardwood, wall to wall carpet in guest rooms and a few large areas rugs. I’ve been able to vacuum the entire house on 1 battery, but did need to empty the bin once. It's so easy and quick to grab and vacuum I'll just do it more often so the bin will need to be emptied once I'm done.
Really Sucks, Get Two Batteries

Yes I have a good corded vacuum that really sucks, but I have to use an extension cord to get around the house and it isn't very nimble. I also have a cheap cordless that had pretty good reviews, and that is okay for surface debris but it isn't very strong, especially the carpet brush, which slows down. But this V15 pulled so much dirt out of the carpet I had to empty it quite a few times while I vacuumed the Entire House, including under the couch, bed, tables, places the big corded vacuum won't go...it is very nimble. Fortunately it empties easily, I just emptied it outside on the grass (well country living has benefits). Otherwise I think I would cut a piece of cardboard to put over a waste basket, cut a hole in it, and empty it that way to avoid dust. I had to use the second battery only half way through this process. I have a mix of carpet and ceramic tile floors, and the Auto Suck feature adjusts between them, not bogging down on the carpet or wasting too much energy on the smooth floor. It is manually adjustable if you don't like Auto Suck. I bought a 3rd party flexible hose (6') to clean difficult places easier. I used the short power bar thing on the car seats and carpet which worked well. Pricey unit, and I put it off a long time, but I rather like it. Note: The V15 Pro model Doesn't have the laser in front like the V15 cheaper one, so no light at all... Too many models and features to keep track of.

Stop Using Disposable Portable Vacuums

Like most people I always thought Dysons were WAY overpriced for vacuum cleaners. So year after year we would buy $100 cordless vacuums only to discover within a few short weeks they had no filters, or the battery would only power the device for 7 or 8 minutes. Then we’d get rid of it and buy another one. Finally I decided to stop acting in an insane manner. Yes it’s a $600 vacuum, but it’s a GREAT vacuum. Runs forever on a charge (two batteries, but in a month we haven’t needed to recharge yet) picks up everything, adjusts to carpets and hard floors, has a washable filter and a two year warranty. We are Dyson people now. No more disposable vacuums.

Great picks up everything. Only draw back is you have to continually hold trigger for it to work.
It doesn’t work on plush carpets

I was so excited for my new fancy vacuum until I used it. I went straight for the carpet and the suction was so strong that it kept getting stuck. I googled it and other people have had the same problem when it’s a plush carpet. The “fix” is to use the handheld, Dyson said. Am I really supposed to crawl around my carpet with the handheld? Such an expensive useless vacuum. I don’t even know what I’m going to do with it. Summary: Doesn’t work on thick plush carpets.

I have pets, this was designed for pets and picks up hair and dirt very well, but you sacrifice suction if your filter isn’t clean, and sacrifice time if you don’t have a spare battery….in a perfect world get both

I almost did not buy this as our last Dyson died. It would not hold a charge. But reviews consistently gave this Dyson sterling reviews. I have not used it a lot yet but the few times have, indeed, been very good. The jury is out on its durability and longevity
