I bought this chain because it was advertised as solid 925 sterling silver, made in Italy. After about a year of light use, it has developed a copper color and is attracted to a magnet – both clear signs that this is not real sterling silver. Authentic 925 silver does not change color to copper and is not magnetic. This suggests that the chain is either silver-plated or made from a different base metal entirely. Very disappointing, as I trusted the description and expected much higher quality. This product is misleading, and I feel deceived. Do not recommend if you’re looking for real silver jewelry.
