We really liked this tree topper. It was a good size and looked great lit up. We returned it because it does not connect to our Christmas tree lights. It is battery operated. It cannot be put on a timer or powerstrip. We would need to get out a step stool everyday, twice a day to turn it on and off. This was our mistake as we didn't read the product description closely.

Very pretty and well made but does not have switch properly placed on back of star. Have to shut it off by standing on stool. Not safe.
