AIRPLUS Dehumidifier/4,500 Sq. Ft

Purchased this in November to use when summer arrives. Installed it after purchased and turned it on to be sure it functioned. Now that summer is here, I followed instructions and set it up. No water was collected and the humidity in the basement was over 70 percent. Tried to turn it off and it would not let me so I had to pull the plug. Tried to contact the manufacturer, but was told I had to go to Amazon. Did that and was told it's out of the return window, so nothing they can do. Big mistake buying an appliance from Amazon. I have a brand new piece of equipment that does not work and it had a 1 year warranty that app means nothing. Total waste of money.
