Great with some level expectations!
By Douglas on Reviewed in the United States on May 5, 2024
TLDR: good value, extras provided, quality product, interesting, and no stupid app!! These are such a great idea - I despise single points of light in rooms (y'know the old hot incandescent bulb that sucks power). Granted I've spent some money on various LED lights, lamps, and bulbs off of Amazon but my electric bill stays low, and my place stays cool. PROS: So, these are such a great idea. I got two sets of 3-packs. 0. NO APP!! THANK you for NOT building an app for these. I'm dead serious! I bought these only because there is NO app. I know it's me, but I am beyond sick and tired of every home gadget/gismo having to have a stupid, buggy, insecure, privacy-violating app. A $2 remote with a watch battery works just fine. Send me an extra one (they did!) in the box if you're worried about people losing one. I don't want to touch my smartphone more than *I* want to. These have allowed me to add a nice modern lighting solution to my home (with some fun RGB too) without the modern stupidity that is so rampant! Thank you!!! 1. The bases are stick-on (or screw in) so they can be put anywhere (fantastic!). I live in an apartment so sconce lighting was obviously non-existant. But with these, I can give my rooms ambience. They provide extra adhesives, and mounting hardware too! 2. Whoever designed these, tried to make a quality product. The bases, adhesive quality, and build quality are good. 3 months in, nothings fallen off yet! 3. Nice diffusion of light too. Not the brightest, but bright enough to be functional. 4. Usb-C charging! 5. Decent battery life if used moderately alongside other light sources. 6. Package quality and value - you get TWO remotes! And I can confirm, remotes work with the other set. That's awesome because now I have two fall-backs or could spread remotes around to make control easier. 7. You can also change colors (RGB), the brightness adjustibility is broad, and they even have an auto-off timer function that can be clicked multiple times to set custom lengths. 8. You can use them while holding them! The power button on the pod allows for them to still me functional as hand lights! Great thinking! If you're creative, you could probably use these in some really novel applications! Cons: 1. the charge time is slow. Like about 4 hours on Apple 5w square chargers (you know the ones). Faster chargers don't work on these in my experience (tried a Samsung 25w and an Anker 40w). I just plug mine into my dedicated usb powerstrip while doing my Sunday cleaning so they're ready to go. They turn green when they're done. Cables are included for each light thankfully so making a bundle like I did in the photo is recommended! 2. I can't speak for total runtine, but don't expect 8 hours x 5 days. I want to say I get about 12 hours total runtime (3 evenings x 4 hours a night). Granted I knock the brightness down a few clicks. I would describe these as a lighting "aumentation", not a dedicated source unless you want to run a longer cable to it. 3. The big inconvenience with these, is that they like to "sag". I don't know if it's the magnet/rubber-ring QC, or just the design, but it's annoying. Not the end of the world, but annoying. Granted, you can jerry rig these for sure, but having one problem child constantly falling down and pointing back at you is simultaneously irritating and kinda silly looking. These inconveniences aren't a deal-breaker for me (far from it) given the overall value here, but just be aware before you mount them, that charging (if wireless) and positioning may be a regular touchpoint (so put them where somebody can easily reach them). All in all a great product! And even with the flaws, I'm a happy (better lit) guy!

Good at First, But Not Built to Last
By Lilyth on Reviewed in the United States on April 10, 2025
I’m giving this product three stars, but honestly, it’s more of a two in my book. The only reason I bumped it up is because they did perform well—for the first six months. After that, things started to go downhill. I use these lights wall-mounted above my crafting area, which also doubles as my Twitch streaming setup. As a crafter who works with beaded jewelry and acrylic painting, good lighting is essential—not optional. Since late December, the battery life has steadily declined to the point where I now have to recharge them after just two hours of use. If I don’t, I risk them randomly shutting off mid-stream the next day, which is both frustrating and disruptive. For short-term use, they’re fine, but if you’re looking for something that holds up long-term under daily use, I’d recommend looking elsewhere. EDITED TO ADD: This company has excellent customer service. While my experience with the product was not fabulous the entire time I've used these, I will give them another chance and order a new set. If the new set works better, I wil edit my review again with an update in seven or eight months. Thanks to this company for amazing service.
