Beats Studio Pro - ANC Wireless Headphones (Grade A Refurbished) (Open Box)

First, do not buy these headphones anywhere near MSRP. They are not worth it. I bought them during last year's Amazon Prime Day / Black Friday sales for considerably less, so I will consider that in my review.Second, go to any store that has these headphones and try them on. Fit and finish is very personal. If you have glasses especially, try to make sure you can wear the headphones for more than just a few minutes. It took over a month for me to feel comfortable with these headphones especially since I've been using AirPods Pro before.The build is plastic which isn't necessarily bad since it is lightweight but can feel cheap. The biggest issue with the plastic is that it amplifies any touch to the controls on the headphones. So if you push any of the buttons, it can be slightly annoying.Now actually listening to music, YouTube videos, and games, the audio is good if not great. You can listen to high fidelity (lossless audio) via USB-C and if you have the right music service/sources, but it's honestly not worth it for most people. I had another pair of Beats headphones from over a decade ago with the (in)famous heavy bass. These headphones are far more balanced and sound closer to AirPods Pro (USB-C version) than anything else.You have Bluetooth, USB-C, or 3.5mm audio jack connection options which is truly fantastic. If there is one thing I wish more headphones had, it would be at least these connectivity options. The battery life is great and can last for most of an entire (waking) day on a single charge. The noise cancellation works well, but is slightly weaker than AirPods Pro.The biggest issue most people will have is the compatibility with their devices using Bluetooth. Using Apple devices, it works very well on a single device (say an iPhone or a Mac) but since these headphones do not have the H2 chip, there is no seamless switching. So if you're listening to some music on your Mac and a phone call comes in, you will have to go to your iPhone in the Bluetooth / audio settings and connect to your headphones. Then when you're done with the phone call, you will have to go to your Mac and connect the headphones back. It's actually pretty quick to do, but it can be a minor annoyance for some people. For others, they never like the automatic switching so they are glad to have to explicit switchover.The biggest issue is with devices that treat the headphones as a generic Bluetooth audio device, say a Windows PC. Audio quality is about the same but you may have to tweak settings to make sure that you get the best audio since sometimes the headphones are recognized as a telephone headset and will choose a basic codec which sounds terrible. This is not necessarily the headphones fault but is a problem with Bluetooth.Finally, the mic can work well if it works. Connecting to an iPhone, the mic works as well as AirPods. Connecting to a Windows PC via Bluetooth, the mic does not work (either it does not pick up any sound or far too little). The audio degrades as well. It is a known issue with no solutions. Part of the blame is limitations on Bluetooth, but probably Windows and Apple/Beats could come up with better solutions. USB-C also does not seem to work well with the mic on Windows with similar issues.Overall, only buy this headphone if you try it on first, find it on sale, and do not need the mic on Windows.
