Shimmer 'N Sparkle Sparkling Headband

Original review: It's a fine product for the price, which is $14 currently. Our kit was missing the bead stoppers for the wire headbands so I had to improvise with invisible tape. Also, there doesn't seem to be near enough glue included with the kit. My 8 year old daughter only made one headband and a barrette and we're through almost half of the glue. She was able to do it all on her own, though. It will keep her busy a few afternoons this summer. The headbands are pretty low quality, as is the workstation, which is a piece of foam and very flimsy plastic. I think most little girls will enjoy this kit, but 12 and older will probably think it's a little too childish for them. Update 6/4: I'm removing another star as I'm beginning to wonder if anyone at CrazyArt tested this set before it went into production. Few jewels will stay on the barettes because it flexes (of course). We've glued it twice and today I broke down and tried super glue as my daughter is exceptionally frustrated. No joy - the beads still pop off. I thought my daughter was trying to do something the kit didn't intend, but nope, I re-consulted the instructons, which directs the user to glue gems on the barette. We're out of glue after completing only a couple of barettes and one headband (really doesn't help that we've had to re-affix gems multiple times), so I needed to purchase more clear craft glue to finish the remainder of the kit. Then there's the rock gem tape. Even when lined up perfectly on the headband, there's still a sticky edge on the thick tape that will catch your child's hair. Why wouldn't the manufacturer just not ensure the headband is slightly wider than the tape? Between these issues and the missing bead stoppers, this has been a pretty exasperating experience.
