Hatch Restore 2 Sunrise Alarm Clock (Open Box)

I have seen sponsored posts for this alarm clock for the last year. I was really interested in this new version that came out because it seems like they made small tweaks that made the whole experience better. The buttons on top are a little bit more clear and easy to use, and you don't have to use your phone to start your sleep routine or turn off the alarm. I thought all of this sounded great, and the alarm clock is built really well. The light is actually very vibrant and bright, and the speakers sound really nice. I like the fact that they designed it to blend into my home decor and doesn't look like a super techie product. My issue was with the experience of using the app. There are a bunch of different free built-in sounds, but using the app, they're pretty hard to find. Also, you have to create different. Sleep routines that are very flexible, but once you set them, they're pretty rigid. You can cycle between three sleep routines on the clock itself, but if you have more variability in your schedule, you will find yourself using the app pretty often. The app is really clunky, which I was surprised about because the clock itself is very streamlined. Creating routines and even previewing sounds requires a lot of taps, and it's the main reason why I ended up returning this clock.
