Wish it had a pause button

EDIT: I'm updating my review from 4 to 5 stars. I got a new, higher end Urevo to replace this one and hated it. It lurches, its so much louder even though they advertise as being quiet, the app sucks, the belt is so loose... and they have amazing reviews. I figure if that model has good reviews, then this one needs to get all 5 stars from me. My gripes below still hold, but honestly I'll probably return the Urevo and keep this for longer. I'm also not sure which pad is more accurate in the speed. Maybe they are both off. But 2 mph on this pad vs the Urevo are like two different worlds. I always do 2mph on this pad and to match that on the Urevo was like 1.4mph. Original Review Below: I've had this pad for close to a year. Put a lot of miles on it. It was my first walking pad. End of the day it works. Its exactly what you'd expect - its a pad you can walk on. Here is why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5: 1. It does not have a pause feature. I try to walk in 1 mile increments throughout the day, 4 or 5 times while I work. If I have to step away for something, I can't pause it. I have to stop it, note my distance, then when i start it up again mentally combine them to 1 mile. Not a huge deal but like... how hard is that to put in? 2. No incline function, but that built into the cheap pricing. 3. I wish I had access to data. Like a total miles thing. A lot of other pads integrate into apps and let you see this. I'll go ahead and upgrade my walking pad soon I think. This one has served me just fine. It stores away easy, isn't too heavy, and just works. Its also really cheap. But the no pause thing is just weird.

Good entry level walking pad
By AAJohnson on Reviewed in the United States on January 21, 2024
The price was right for me to purchase this as my first walking pad. I was looking for something to allow me to move more when I was remote working and decided on this. I've clocked 20 miles in 17 days on this little machine and have had to straighten the belt once so figure it's a good time for a review. I'm 6ft and have tried the treadmills at the gym so knew the length of this wouldn't accommodate my normal walking long stride but I figured that was ok since I would be conducting meetings while walking. I was correct on that - my stride on the machine is shorter but it's the movement I care about. So this is not a deterrent to me in purchasing this product. It has a stable base with adjustable feet if you are on an unlevel surface that you need to address. I've tried walking in both yoga socks and my workout Brooks tennis shoes and find both easily doable - with the shoes being better for 2.4+ speeds. The remote is handy and I make sure I keep it in my pocket to adjust as needed. The calls I've taken while on it - I've had no one complain about the noise. Is it silent? No. But I've been on calls with people whose keyboards are louder than this walking pad - so the little noise there is - is no big deal. The reason why I'm giving the overall review for this a 3 is because of the seam on the belt. At higher speeds of 3+ the belt seam will cause my traction to slightly slip depending on how my foot hits it. At first, I thought it was my unfamiliarity with the device - but after 20 miles it is the seam. I think it may be the diagonal cut of this seam causing it to this particular device - I'm sure it is the luck of the draw in manufacturing I don't believe this is standard - it isn't enough for me to return the device but I am very mindful when walking at higher speeds and always have a wall nearby to brace myself if need be. If I'm reading and walking I make sure to keep the speed nearer to 2. If I end up working remotely full-time I would probably upgrade to a higher-end device - but for my activity level now and knowing what I know about this - would I buy it as a first-time buyer again? Yes, I would take a chance on it. Also readers be aware - the manufacturer is sending out requests for positive reviews in exchange for Amazon gift cards. I ranked this a low enough star ranking I will not be getting a gift card.
