This vacuum sweeper is amazing! It's light, powerful and fairly quiet. We use it on vinyl and carpeted floors. We used it to clean up spilled bird seed from our car. The crevice tool and sweeper head made quick work of it. Moving at a fairly brisk pace we've been able to vacuum the entire 2000 SF house with the battery only going down to 50%. As other reviewers have mentioned it is top heavy, so you'll have to be mindful of where and how you lean it against something. I often times just lay it on the floor while I move something out of the way. It is a little tricky cleaning area rugs, but it's quite possible with practice. We like the hanger / charger, it makes storing the sweeper easy, taking up very little space. The dirt catcher and filters are easy to clean, We empty and clean the filters after each use. Although this vaccum has great suction, it's not going to replace an electric sweeper for deep cleaning.
