Elements White MDF Decorative Orb

I was really looking forward to receiving this product because it looked unique. However, as soon as I opened the package, that excitement turned to disappointment. The white paint was already worn off of the majority of its edges, showing the dark grey color underneath. The paint is also chipped off in many areas. Small parts of this product were also not sanded down completely, so the paint is not smooth in multiple small but noticeable areas. There is an area of the interior that feels rough. Overall, I couldn't find one angle that I could place it that didn't show a part of it that needed to be re-painted when looking at it close-up. In summary, it was not painted carefully and looks sloppy. I don't like leaving a negative review like this, but I am surprised at the condition this orb was sent. Quality control could be improved. It looks almost used or old, like it is worn from many years of being handled. It is unfortunate that I won't be able to use this product as I originally hoped. I wanted to display it on a bedroom dresser, but now I either won't display it all or will need to place it up high were its imperfections won't be as noticeable.
