Skechers Men's Respected-Holmgren Slip-i

Like every Skecher's shoes I've owned, these are great. I'm 88 years old and no longer flexible enough to go through the necessary twists and turns to install most shoes. These have a backside that is rigid enough for my foot to just slide down into the shoe effortlessly. The footbed (insert?) was a bit too cushy at first, giving the shoe an unstable feeling for walking, especially on uneven surfaces. But after a few hours, the insert compresses enough that it becomes just right for comfort and stability. If I have any complaint about these shoes it is the fabric. We live out in the country and walk on a driveway littered with the stuff that continually falls off of the many giant spruce trees. It's almost like walking on a dirt path. The dust from this gets into the weave of the fabric and doesn't come our easily. I take them out to my shop and use compressed air, but not everyone has that luxury. A small brush works, too, with a bit more effort. The tag that comes on the shoes says you can toss them in the washing machine, but I haven't been that adventurous yet. All in all, another great pair of Skechers shoes.
