Harman Kardon Is Pure Quality Sound

Oh wow! I prefer exceptional sound. In high school in the '60s, I worked very hard to purchase a Harman Kardon Teak Turntable along with two of their Teak Speakers. I had tested the sound coming from numerous stereo systems and found the Harman Kardon system to be very pure. Throughout the years, that system found its way to other homes. Lately I have Bose systems at home with which I stream my music and have their sound bar for my tv. The sound quality is a bit muffled no matter how I adjust it. I had an epiphany and wondered if I could find any Harman Kardon speakers to replace them. I went directly to the Harman Kardon website and was a bit discouraged to find that they no longer offer the big speakers and turntables of yore, however, I discovered this Onyx Studio 8 speaker. The price was a bit much which prompted me to peruse the offerings on Amazon. As it turned out, I opted for the Amazon pricing. This speaker is futuristic and unusual looking. It resembles a piece of sculpture. And as I had hoped, the sound quality coming from it is far superior to other speaker systems I have. Crisp, pure incredible sound coming from this device makes it seem like you are in the exact same room as the musicians performing the music. I couldn't be happier returning to Harman Kardon sound quality.

Really clean sound and gets really low, but not really loud

I really wanted to love this for the $150 price I got it for, and it was ok but not great. Pretty neutral sound and the bass does go really low for something this size, tho if you want to listen to this outside, it gets loud enough but a little lacking overall. At the $500 full retail price, almost anything at that price point sounds better. And the shape is odd and never feels stable. Buttons to go forward and backward would be nice too.

I saw this speaker at T-Mobile and we loved the sound quality of the speaker but they were selling it for $400 so I checked Amazon and Best Buy and it was cheaper on amazon and I got it for about $125 which was a great price for the quality of the speaker. I have the same sounds system Harman/kardon in my car and I was obsessed with the bass so I had to get a speaker just like it!

Love speaker overall. There is quite a bit of bass, but as a whole, the loudest and best sounding Bluetooth speaker I've heard yet. Givin it's size and weight, it's obviously not very portable unless you want to re-live the 80's and pretend it's a boombox.

I bought my first Onyx 8 speaker here on Amazon thinking it was just gonna disappoint me. But on the other hand I fell in love with it. As am typing now I have already ordered my 3rd speaker and I connect them on party mode. I really enjoy the sound that comes with it.I just realized when you play with your onyx 8 connected on the power source the base and the sound becomes even more stronger.Can't tell you nothing but to advise you to try for yourself.

This speaker is aesthetically beautiful and so interesting to people who have never seen it before.So for.looks an A plus.Sound quality is really good/excellent especially up to like 75% of the volume. Beyond that and I think it loses some of the clarity of the bass. But I am really nitpicking here. The automatic calibration to the space you place it in is a wonderful feature and does work.I wish there was an app with equalizer controls just to have the option to tinker but this speaker will be a standout wherever you carry it.Get it!

Como ven ya tenía la onyx 7 pero llevo medio año queriendo actualizarla solo por capricho! Me he visto muchos videos sobre comparaciones, la verdad todos fueron muy honestos, se siente una muy buena diferencia en los altos de la 8, tanto así que pareciera que la 7 tuviese mucho más bajo pero no! Pude haber comprado otra 7 para poder ponerlas a sonar juntas pero igual no tengo tanto espacio! Incluso, puedes comprar par de monitores de studio con el precio de la onyx 8, si es tu primera Harman, denle comprar! Si tienen la 7, puedo decirles que quizá no haga falta hacer el upgrade pero si lo hacen, van a notar la diferencia, es mucho más nítido el sonido, si te gusta el audio con menos brillo(altos), pueden quedarse con la 7!Espero inventen una app o una actualización de software! para poder linkearlas, ya que no podrán hacerlo, ya yo sabía esto antes de comprarla pero quizá les sea de mucha ayuda, repito, no pueden link una onyx 7 con una onyx 8
