Great multi-gaming mouse

This mouse is solid, the tracking is phenomenal; clicks are great, mouse feet are great, and the rebind functionalities are great. The 'sniper/shift' button can be pulled off and replaced with no button, or flipped the other way to make it require a further reach to press. The mouse clicks are more narrow than most mice, so takes some getting used to. Sometimes you will accidentally click one of the mouse1 side buttons. I recommend using logitech onboard memory manager for customizing, it is a much more streamlined software. Just make sure you plug the mouse in with a usb cable first so it can install the driver - then use onboard memory manage to customize it. If it shows up 'blank' you may need to install logitech g-hub just once. You can uninstall it after - although GHub may be needed for certain advanced macros, not sure. Onboard memory manager can change dpi, polling rate, rebinds, and profiles - saving them to the mouse directly. This mouse is the non-rgb version which I recommend because the battery will be longer and it's a few grams lighter. I've been maining lightweight mice for a while but really wanted a multi-gaming mouse; so I swapped out my razer deathadder v3 pro for this and honestly, I have no issues playing FPS; thought I would struggle to aim but my aim is just as consistent if not better; ages ago I used to use a 130g mouse and aimed great with that. The very light mice (sub 65g) are great - but if you have a 'strong arm' micro adjustments can be challenging unless you also have a slower mousepad. The weight of the mouse plus the shape really help me keep aim steady, enjoying it. I am still competitive but as I get older I am easing out of caring about competitive gaming - if you're a large hand gaming looking for a multi-gaming mouse this is definitely it. The G-shift/profile swap is really cool too. You can keep one profile with all the extra buttons disabled for FPS - then a separate profile where you bind each extra key to your numpad (or F rows) and then G shift to rebind all the buttons again - then if the game you're playing supports it you can add shift keys in game basically giving you 4 sets of hotkeys (or 3 if my math is off?) Some MMOs may prefer the style of the razer naga - but I personally could not get used to having all the hotkeys on the side without a rest; this feels much better. Anyway long story short - this mouse is definitely worth it and also logitech's custom sensor is just wonderful for tracking. I am happy to return back to a heavier/ergo mouse and feel like I lost nothing in the exchange.

It may be great for some gamers, but not for me on hardcore FPS games.

If we could rate up to 10 Stars, I'd give it a 4 or 5 perhaps, however other mice of theirs would receive an 9.8 out of 10 which is higher than I'd rate any other mouse. Logitech makes dependable mice with dependable software and have advanced my FPS gaming abilities further than any other mouse could in 22 years of gaming, and pretty much still could to this moment and predictably the future. AlsoI've destroyed the best players in FPS games with logitech mice more than any other mouse around. so we'll just call this a speedbump. Cons first since this mouse is unplayable for me in competitive FPS games. 1. Scroll lock button too high and/or Mouse wheel sits too low, can't hit scroll left or right without the scroll lock button in the way which is annoyingly uncomfortable. 2. No Lift off distance adjustment setting, (Don't we live in 2024?) 3. Mouse sensor is SUPER slow compared to other mice according to one website that test it's sensor latency. Sensor latency around 23.6 ms, (This is torture for those who already have high ping over 70ms in FPS games. Other mice are hitting 13ms total or less which is still a lot when you take into account monitors have less than 1ms response time these days. 4. Needs a lip like the G400S so thumb doesn't accidentally hit mouse forward (Mouse5) button while squeezing the mouse. 5. Cord could be longer, however it was a great cord! 6. The software is not user-friendly, I had to find a post by a random user to make a macro for multiple keys to be bound to one mouse button and it just didn't make sense to even a veteran hardcore FPS gamer. The Logitech software was simpler to use in the 8.89.68 Logitech Gaming Software they used to have for my G400S that came out 12 years ago, (the mouse sensor was more responsive and it was heavier!). Pros 1. Good weight. 2. Very imaginative implementing a clickable mouse wheel left to right and sniper button, MUCH NEEDED when your life is hanging by 1 or 2 HP and you are playing the best in the world or US and need to switch to that weapon or zoom in quick while your left hand is far too busy pressing movement keys and there's no time to click anything else. The mouse buttons save lives! It's unbelievable so many mice manufactures don't add enough!!! What world are we living in? 3. Mouse tracking is excellent, despite it's slowness. 4. Excellent mouse cord, very light and very flexible, I almost didn't notice it there. 5. Software works without bugs, doesn't seem to lag me. 6. lint catcher on bottom of mouse is ingenious, but i still think we should go back to a ball mouse since i rarely had lint or dust affecting my aim since the sensors were deep inside the mouse, and while my hands were always very clean using my favorite Logitech ball mouse, I only had to clean it maybe once every 3 or 4 days, after many hours of hardcore gaming use. This optical being so close to the mousepad makes mouse cleaning a constant thing especially with the logitech G440 plastic mousepad that seems to attract dust than repel it, maybe we need lint or dust repellant on the mouse too? duster cans leave residue, if held improperly, cotton balls can scratch some mouse lens, perhaps you can add a scratch-proof glass lens for the sensor, however it is easily cleanable being it's right near the surface of the mouse. And/or a scratch-free cloth, not a crummy microfiber that leaves lint all over, I can see the lint it leaves with my electronic microscope. 7. Button latency feels great. 8. Top rear profile switching button is great to have for more very important binds for many games. However it would be nice to be able to rebind the scroll lock button, like a mouse that resembles a competitors who likely stole your idea about the complete design of the mouse). It'd be a dream to have a button in front like the G400S, and two in the back so the finger could hit one and move back to hit the other with ease, it doesn't make sense to have the finger move to the side if you place them horizontally parallel like the G903 when gaming and needing to hit a button quick, the finger naturally slides back then forward onto the trigger button, rather than having to readjust. If you have anymore questions, shoot me a message, I'd be happy to help with more ideas or...
