FINALLY! These are IT!!!
By Stephanie Strings on Reviewed in the United States on April 12, 2024
For years I’ve been using audiobooks to help me fall asleep. And I have used and tried SO MANY types of headphones. The “smallest earbuds” (not small enough) Though I did try one that was small enough but then the little speaker screen thing fell off which freaked me out because I thought, what if this had broken off and fallen into my ear? 😳 I also tried the cloth headbands (they work alright but are annoying to wear), the ones that have chords that wrap around your neck (kindof scary to sleep with and also uncomfortable), the bone conduction (definitely uncomfortable) and last year I got AirPods and just sleep with one in. I almost bought one of those pillows with an ear hole in it 😅 But then I saw these and thought, this might actually be it! I got them refurbished which is a great deal. They’re actually small enough and comfortable enough for me to roll onto my side!! Finally!! They don’t have fancy features like volume control that I know of (but I can control it from my phone obviously). Or noise cancellation - but they do block some noise feeling kind of like earplugs. So I sleep with only one in so I can hear my kids if they wake up in the next room. They seem well made with quality materials. The 4 hour battery life is not an issue. I use my AirPods during the day and only need these from when my head hits the pillow until I fall asleep. I set timers in my audiobook. I’ve woken up in the middle of the night and turned the audiobook back on and they were still running perfectly fine. If you have small ears, are a side sleeper, and need audiobooks to chase away the late night intrusive thoughts, invest in these. You will be grateful when you do!

Will break after a month or two and SoundCore won't honor warranty!!
By CJ on Reviewed in the United States on December 31, 2023
This item is repackaged, it is not factory fresh! The right ear bud stopped working after a few uses. I purchased my headphones in October. I use them an average of 1-2 times a week. If you're familiar with the Bose SleepBuds, at first glance, these are very similar. These buds are not nearly as comfortable as the Bose SleepBuds. They are just as small, but not soft. If you sleep on your side, you will feel a slight discomfort in the ear on the side that you're sleeping. Unlike the Bose SleepBuds, these buds will play audio (other than ambient noise) from your phone... so you can fall asleep to music or audiobooks. However, if you sleep on your side, and keep your phone anywhere other than under your pillow, the bluetooth connection will frequently crackle... which often wakes me up just before I dose off. The battery life is disappointing, the battery lasts about 7 hours if I fall asleep to an audiobook. So if you ever want to try to fall asleep after your partner, roommate, or noisy neighbor wake you up in the morning, your buds will be dead! In December, after only a few uses, the right earbud volume deteriorated to about 10%. So I either hear volume normal in my left ear and nothing in my right ear, or have to put the volume at max to barely hear it in my right ear and blast out my left eardrum. I contacted SoundCore to replace the faulty buds that are still under warranty. First they gave me rudimentary troubleshooting instructions that were a little insulting (i.e. make sure the buds aren't covered in ear wax). They also asked for info like a Serial Number and proof of purchase. After following all their instructions and providing the info, they then asked for the same info again. After providing that info again, they then asked for additional info, like the SKU and quantity purchased. But they can defer the SKU from the S/N, the proof of purchase I provided showed only one item was purchased, and I only refereed to one item being purchased. Regardless, at this point, I'm still in an annoying long email thread with SoundCore trying to get them to honor the warranty. Just as a side note, Bose SleepBuds had similar issues, where one bud would stop working. Within a few hours of telling Bose I was having issues, they emailed me a return label and already had replacement buds in the mail, and I received them 48 hours later. If Bose still sold the sleep buds (they're currently not selling them because they never figured out the issue and don't want to keep selling unreliable products), I would defer back to Bose. Their customer service was so amazing that I am a very loyal Bose customer. After this battle with SoundCore, I will never again purchase a SoundCore nor any other Anker product.
