Not a bad pool vacuum for small pools, does not have an app or remote control.

This pool vacuum is not bad. I would say this is not something that you can use for big big pools but for pools at home it works pretty well. The robot does not have any wifi capability so you cannot really control this via a phone application. When the device arrives, it was only at roughly half charged which is why I would recommend to let it charge to full or over night. It takes several hours to charge. For the best results, I would say just charge it overnight before you use it. After draining it (takes about an hour and half of use before it drains). There is no remote control. It does have collision prevention as well as self recharge. When the battery is low, it will just return to the shore for you to pick up out of the water. Unless it gets caught or stuck, it should return to shore. Please note that it only can ride up 15 degree inclined. There are LED indicators to show if the battery is being charged. This robot does not really have a pattern or learning. All it really does is makes turns when it hits a wall. It will attempt to go to closet shore so you can reach it which is why is said it is best to really use this with home pools rather than deep big pools as it is harder for it to vacuum the entire pool as well as retrieve it. It is pretty durable if it happens to hit something. It does not really do well on stairs so it will not really go anywhere if you put it on a stairwell. The dirt fills up into the tray and you can easily remove and empty it out. The suction is not very strong while also keeping the noise level down. It passed over a bunch of things and sucks it up without issue. I do have to check from time to time to see if there are any clogs but it does not have that issue. The device can only run for about 100 mins. You just have to plug it in in order to charge it. Overall I think this is a nice pool vacuum and I am happy with the performance as it works well with my small pool. I do wish it had a bit more control. You can easily just hook it out of the water from the wall but sometimes you many need a pool to get it out. It does have a handle in order to grab it and a hook to fish it out as needed. The suction is pretty strong as well but it only really picks up small debris. It is not really meant for like big leaves and such.

Poorly designed

Bought this with high hopes, but ended up returning it.The robot moves very fast across the pool floor before crashing into the side. The wheels on the robot aren't for moving, but rather just something for it to ride on. It propels itself across the pool with a water jet out of a flap on the top. After a certain amount of time, it closes that jet and opens the jet on the other side to reverse. The power button is in the hardest spot to access when also trying to put it in the pool or remove it from the pool. It's in the center of the bottom right next to the charging port. They could not have put the port and power button is a less convenient spot.We tried it anyway...We found it mostly stirred up the stuff on the bottom rather sucking up the debris and dirt because it simply moved too fast for the strength of it's suction. (yes, I installed the little flaps per the instructions) You could see a cloud of dirt behind the robot as it moved through the pool.On the edges of my above ground pool, there is a tiny dip about 1/8". Not a lot, but enough that this robot would constantly get stuck and I had to give it a push. After a couple days of trying to use this, I decided it's not worth it, and returned it. Even though the critter takes a long time to cover the whole pool, it does better at actually cleaning the bottom than this robot.Pros- Good price point.- Easy to clean - 2 flaps and the whole top comes off. Remove screen and hose it down.Cons- Power button in worse possible location (bottom middle) and hard to tell if you actually turned it on or not.- Charing cord is only 3ft long. You have to have it inside and at the outlet to charge it. This is also not weather proof, so you need to charge it in a dry location.- Charing port, also on the bottom next to power button and not easy to access without flipping over the robot and spilling any un-drained water while also risking breaking the handle.- It moves WAY too fast. The suction power can't keep up with it's speed. This results in it mostly stirring up the bottom of the pool rather than cleaning it.- Instructions say to submerge before turning it on. - Go ahead, try to do this while also keeping it on the hook to gently set it on the bottom of the pool. Keep in mind the power button is on the bottom, and when it turns on, you have a good chance at getting wet from one of the jets that propel it across the pool.- Gets stuck on small unlevel spots at the wall. If your floor isn't perfect, this may get stuck.
