Multiple Updates: I've used this daily from 3/8 through 3/25. I've had one concern so far which I'll describe below. Out of the box and until 3 days ago this device functioned perfectly. It operates so smoothly and effortlessly you could practically do it with one finger. I previously used the TopOMatic which I thought was pretty good, but within 6 months the smooth operation was no longer, and in a couple more months it wore down so much that it was all but totally useless. The operation of this Scott right out of the box was noticeably, far better than the TopOMatic when brand new. This Scotte is absolutely smooth to operate, does the job every time and came with a little back of accessories that I did not know I needed- I had been using toothpicks to clean out my last device and this one has a handy little metal pick for that job along with 2 brushes and great little paddle with a jagged edge that helps to load and if needed, shred the tobacco and pat it down perfectly in the channel. There are also two additional brushes that have come in handy to keep the inner workings clean and operating smoothly. Every tube has filled perfectly the first time until about 3 days ago when it started "catching." After loading tobacco into the channel, when the handle was pulled to stuff the tobacco into the paper tube, there began to be resistance and when I released the handle, it did not spring back into starting position, like it should. The unit required me to exert more force on the handle to stuff the tobacco into the tubes. I avoided forcing it and risk bending the metal plunger thus ruining the machine and decided to open up the bottom plate to see what might be "catching" on the inside. I'll cross reference another great product here (Is that allowed?) I used my Strabito 153 piece Precision Screw Driver kit for electronics which I highly recommend if you have such a need. I couldn't see what was causing the resistance and "catching," but it made sense that if any of the half-dozen screws holding the components together had loosened and were sitting too high, they would start catching/rubbing against the various moving parts. I tightened down each screw, brushed away the little tobacco dust that had made its way inside, and that was all it took to fix the problem; the machine is again operating just like it did out of the box. Now, was this problem just a function of initially breaking in the machine, or will this be a recurring problem? Time will tell; I'll post again if the problem reoccurs. All parts on the inside are metal of reasonable gauge for the job- in my limited , humble opinion. Recommended, even with the initial problem I encountered. If the machine continues to operate like it is now, after my quick fix, this machine is rare purchase that operates not just as expected but better than expectations; it appears to be made well- we'll see over time . As of right now, I can't imagine anyone regretting this purchase. My quick fix lasted only a week and leaning it a second time did not fix the problem and the machine started acting up again as it had before. I returned it and bought another- this second one, out of the box is working perfectly just as the first one did. I'll update again after I've used it a while. As of right now- buy at your own risk.

Ruined after 3 months *Updated*
By Sarah on Reviewed in the United States on May 6, 2025
*Updated* After my review they emailed me and resolved the issue by very quickly sending me a new machine. I just received it today so will update around the 3 month mark again but their customer service is easily a 5 star. Had this for 3 months and it worked great. Then the 3 month mark came around and now it won’t fill the tube all the way. It leaves a gap at the bottom. Tried to fix it, and nothing I did helped. Could have just been unlucky since the other reviews seem to be good. But I’m disappointed.
