The Ultimate Action Camera – GoPro Just Keeps Getting Better!
By Bavarian Woodworker LLC on Reviewed in the United States on June 1, 2025
The GoPro HERO11 Black is hands down the best action camera I owned so fare. As someone who’s used previous GoPro models, I can confidently say this one is a major leap forward in both performance and ease of use. Why I love it: 🎥 Insane Video Quality – The 5.3K video at 60fps is jaw-droppingly clear. Colors are vibrant, details are crisp, and low-light performance has noticeably improved. It’s like having a pro-level camera that fits in your pocket. ⚡ HyperSmooth 5.0 Stabilization – This feature is a game-changer. Whether I’m biking on rough trails or filming handheld vlogs, the footage looks incredibly smooth. No gimbal needed! 🔋 Better Battery Life – The new Enduro battery lasts significantly longer than previous models, even in cold weather. I can film longer adventures without constantly swapping batteries. 🌐 Easy Connectivity – Transferring videos to my phone via the GoPro Quik app is seamless. The interface is user-friendly, and editing clips on the go is super convenient. 💦 Tough & Waterproof – Took it on 4x4 rides and to the Beach—it handled everything like a champ. Built rugged and ready for any adventure. Whether you’re a content creator, traveler, athlete, or just want to capture life’s epic moments, the HERO11 Black is 100% worth it. GoPro knocked it out of the park with this one!

LIVE STREAM RES MAXED AT 720P - per GOPro Software!
By Customer99 on Reviewed in the United States on January 19, 2024
Since this is incredibly misleading and I had this thing in the box for months before I actually use it - I'm posting the review now. BEWARE - regardless of what the specs say LIVE STREAM IS MAXED AT 720p on this camera!!! GOPro you are seriously doing a huge injustice. My hero 8 will stream at 1080+ (not to mention I dont know why you wont let us stream in 4k if we got the down and up bandwidth to support it - but that's another story). I simple purchased this as a motorcycle camera replacement to reduce the size/weight. I'm extremely upset they have app locked this camera at 720p for uploading to anything (restream/youtube etc). I sincerely wish someone had written what I'm writing now because I would have skipped or went for a different model. Please pass this around - GoPro has conveniently stripped the fact that this is locked to 720 from all of the Google search results and any marketing material. For that tactic alone I give a huge thumbs down. - However, its only saving grace is the 720p doesn't look as terrible as it sounds but you can still tell its 720p. By the way even at 720p the battery is trash - less than 30 minutes. Terrible. Thankfully I use a powerbank and got used to that ages ago. I wanted to actually remove the battery and sd card like I do on all of the cameras so they don't overheat (I live in Texas). I was faced with another surprise - you can 't remove the battery on the mini so there's no chance of getting that extra heat reduction that you can on any other camera. Action Camera and 360 footage got a lot of attention and great updates around the time insta released the X3. Forcing GoPro to try and keep up. This last year the whole industry has shifted for selfie single field of view cameras. Terrible. Recap: Camera will do 5.3k+ in normal shooting and take photos. Camera is locked to MAX 720P res on live streaming using GOPro APP (I'm going to use another vendors software to get the proper res out of this thing). Battery lasts less than 30 minutes and its built into the camera - IE if you remove it you have a very high change in completely breaking the camera and at its least voiding any warranty. Ill be doing surgical work myself to remove you crap battery - thanks! I get they have to shrink stuff down and you gain and lose things - Im just more pissed off at the fact they have purposely scrubbed any information regarding the live streaming at 720p limitation. Additionally, they make no mention of the battery not being removable - which is just a dick move. They could easily make it removable but its the lazyness after shrinking items down and wanting to kick the camera out faster. - Like Geez GoPro at least let us fix your camera from overheating at 720p LOL!!! What a joke. Not only are you forced to the low ball res but it can't even stay up long enough without overheating in a 70-80F temp. If you're lucky enough and put fans blowing directly on it and heatsinks then you can achieve the 30 minutes battery life before it dies. Another joke. Its one thing to have shortcomings because you're trying to do something new and shrink things down, but the more you try and force people to not do certain things and act like big brother and start locking things because of the idiots who might try and run 4K+ footage stock without aftermarket cooling and then the hottest part of the camera you build in a way that it can't be remove (battery) - Ill never give them another dime anymore.

La he utilizado en varios viajes y ha funcionado perfecto, el unico inconveniente es que cuando se sumerge le entra agua en el microfono y graba mal el sonido durante unas horas, se escucha como cuando se tapa un oido.
Great camera, overheats in summer

I love using this camera to capture some of the outdoor things we do as a family. We've taken it on hikes, fishing trips, springs, river rides, vacations etc. The image quality is awesome. The only thing i dislike it that on hot days in florida it overheats in the middle of recording and sometimes you don't even notice, causing you to lose footage.

Simplistic Nature Great if You’re Short on Time

I’ve enjoyed this product better than the Hero 11 Black for many reasons. As someone who is relentlessly busy, I have greatly enjoyed the simplicity that this camera offers. Although I thought I would miss having the photo option, you can still capture a lot of photos from the video modes, which are all mostly the same as the ones on the GoPro Hero 11. Other features I like include the light weight nature of the camera and its miniature size. It feels pretty weightless on my helmet and hides easily in my bag. For some reason I have yet to figure out, the mini handles auto upload immediately and I rarely if ever have had to reset it due to battery issues. Because I have so little time, I have found this camera the one I prefer because its more simplistic nature means it’s easier to turn it on and start filming. While I do appreciate the Hero 11 Black, this little one has required a lot less fussing and is easier to take on the go. I like that I can just strap it on my head and forget about it. If GoPro came out with another Mini (and I would definitely be an interested consumer if that happens), I would want one additional feature, which I think would be nice for all the GoPros: A find similar to what is on IPhones. Although I don’t lose these cameras, I think it would be the one feature that would help for those times when life gets a little hectic.
GoPro sending a replacement -- Burned charging cable, melted camera

Editing my review as after reaching out to GoPro customer support they are sending us a replacement, since we are inside the warranty period. Hopefully the replacement will work well, as the battery on this one never worked well. Fingers crossed. _________________________________________________________________________________________________ I would NOT recommend this camera at all. Being a scuba diver means I have had a few excellent cameras, some of them lasting 10 years despite all the underwater pressure and what not. Well this one is not even a year old, it has only gone on a snorkeling trip, no diving, and it is already busted. I had issues with it from day 1, never liked it as much as my other water cameras. I felt the battery was bad only charging for a couple hours worth of use. Not my favorite camera at all but it was working until we place it to charge as usual and 3 hours later we found the cable melted into the unit. Basically burned in... so disappointing. I have contact GoPro so far crickets.. We are months away from the 1 year warranty, so I will update to see what they do in situations like this.
Requires an obnoxious software that isn't compatible with most phones.

The GoPro itself is great, I've loved using it and I've always wanted one. However for awhile I couldn't utilize any of it's features cause it wanted to be connected to the QUIK app. That was fine originally, I was gonna use the PC version cause it's what showed it was available for. It turns out the PC version they shut down for some dumb reason. The software also only utilizes modern phones from like the last 2 years, so both our phones can't use it. It also defaults with the most obnoxious fire alarm sounding beep ever, to the point it was giving me a headache when setting it up manually. If there is no SD card inserted it'll just scream at you until you turn it off. It makes sense that it won't run without it but that beep is so ear piercing it's unreal. Also make sure what SD cards you buy for it, make sure it's a V30 or higher, as higher quality recordings will stutter. 4k videos on 1080 PCs will also cause video stuttering. If windows gives you trouble viewing GoPro videos use VLC media player, it works so much better and it's free. I wish the go pro could comfortably use a case, but it overheats so quickly you have to let it not be in one unless it's for underwater videos. The bundle items are also really nice, having 2 batteries is such a great addition as batteries do not last long at all charged. So overall pretty great except how terrible QUIK is, and how modern tech hungry it is.
