I was a little hesitant to buy renewed AirPods, but these 2nd Gen arrived in excellent condition. They looked brand new — no scratches or signs of wear. Pairing was quick and seamless with my iPhone, and the sound quality is just as good as a brand new pair: clear audio, and a reliable connection. The battery life has been great so far, holding a charge just like my original pair. The charging case was also clean and fully functional. For the price savings compared to buying new, these are an excellent value if you want genuine Apple quality without paying full price.

A little disappointed

Well they arrived in about 4 days from ordering them, and I couldn’t be more thrilled or excited to try these things out. They connected to my iPhone 12 Pro Max like a boss. Immediately tried out how they will seamlessly switch between your devices, and it does from my phone to my iPad to my iMac, and it keeps up. Thought that was pretty cool. So after setting up the “Personalized Spatial Audio”, which is pretty wild how it works, turn your head from your screen… it’s pretty wild. So… I had one thing left to do… check out Find My. To my surprise it had a big RED DIAMOND. “AirPods mismatch: some parts are not findable”. Wtf?! So I click “Learn more”. “AirPods Mismatch: One or more of your AirPods parts are linked to different Apple IDs. This may be because you mixed up your AirPods or case with someone else's. The owner of the mixed-up. AirPods parts can see the location of the parts they own.” Now I’m like what?! Ok, so these are refurbished, by Apple? And they didn’t think to clear the ID from the previous owner? So obviously my wheels start turning, so I can’t see these AirPods that I’m listening to, but whoever owned these before me can?! Umm anyone else see a slight problem with that?! HELLO?! Especially in the crazy chaotic time we live in now… so, I contacted Apple… hopefully in the next few days they can have this resolved. They can wipe these, of course you gotta show proof of purchase, and submit some request. Just sucks, they’re gonna have to sit at home till this gets resolved. Not risking the slight chance of being tracked by some creep. So if you order… just know you are getting refurbished. This shouldn’t be a thing, and I expect a lot more from Apple, ultimately that’s who’s at fault here. They do come with a limited warranty from Apple. Guess I should start reading the little print…
