Use as substitute for sheet music
By C Thomason on Reviewed in the United States on March 22, 2025
I joined an orchestra and one requirement was to use a tablet for sharing and playing sheet music. I was a little skeptical at first. Now I love it! This is my preferred way to play. Apple products are great anyway. The screen is big and suggest you get the apple pen that is magnetically stored on the side of the iPad. Holds a charge very well. Even in 4 hours of using it during rehearsal the battery is only at 50%. Using a power pack to recharge for the concert during our one hour supper; the charge is back up to 90%! Would recommend for sheet music substitute or as an iPad for older eyes.

Accessibly options removed. No longer vision impaired friendly.

I've had this POS for 7 months now and I cannot tell you how much I hate this ipad. Let me start by saying that this is that this is my 6th ipad, so obviously I liked them. A lot. But I'm vision impaired. And apple chose to take away the most important accessibility tool it had. Siri has been a wonderful tool for me. Especially when I misplaced my iPad. My daughter would laugh at all the "Hey Siri's" she'd hear throughout the day. "Hey Siri, what time is it?", "Hey Siri, pause TV", "Hey Siri, today's weather?", "Hey Siri, where are you?" But not anymore. If the iPad case is closed, "Hey Siri" will not work. Apparently it's hardware controlled so no amount of updates will change it. I've looked everywhere for a tablet cover without a sleep magnet without any luck. So, my options are to keep it protected in a case and let it collect dust during the day or leave it unprotected so I can continue using the tool. Reference the vision impaired part. It needs a cover to protect it from my clumsiness. I really, really hate this thing. Also, messing with the volume keys is awful as well. 7 months and I still have to take a second to think about which volume key is up. Who decided these things were a good idea???
