Rodney the Gingerbread Baker Nutcracker

Rodney is a bit taller than a Barbie doll and he's very cute. Unfortunately, the Rodney I received looks like he's had a rough time whilst baking his cookies. He had a thin piece of bubble wrap around him for protection, so he didn't survive his trip here unscathed.There is cosmetic damage here and there, nothing too noticeable; some sloppy hot-gluing and messy painting on his body. The worst thing is his platter of cookies broke entirely off his hands. This platter is held onto Rodney with two tiny nails and a bit of glue. I was able to place the cookie platter on his hands for a photo, but I'll have to do some repairs to get it to stay there.Rodney costs $28 right now. The one I received is in poor condition due to insufficient packing materials, but also has visible craftsmanship defects that aren't damage, per se, but still make Rodney look shabby. I don't think even if he arrived in one whole piece that I could say he's worth $28. Maybe $15 at best.Sorry, Rodney. That's the way the cookie crumbles!2/5
