I've had mine for 22 months and operate it EVERY DAY
By R. Newlin on Reviewed in the United States on June 17, 2025
I've been using my Waterdrop RO countertop filter for 22 months (bought in Aug 2023). I make anywhere between 1 and 8 gallons of water daily. I provide filtered water to several family members. I also make all of my daily ice with this water (via the new Frigidaire crushed ice machine). I store my filtered water in 1 gal containers. My father-in-law puts his water in the fridge using a 2 gal dispenser so he always has cold water ready to go. I do the same with a 1 gal jug from Amazon. I just replaced my filter for the very FIRST time one week ago (after 21+ months of use). Here's how I think I got so much value from the original filter: I always pull my feed water from my fridge filtered water. The idea being that it provides semi-filtered water as input into my RO filter, keeping the "big chunks" out of my RO filter. It seems to have worked well. Customer Service: I had one issue with my Waterdrop filter 2 weeks ago. The handle for the feed water tank cracked then broke. I reached out to Waterdrop to see if I could replace the handle. They offered to send me a replacement handle at no cost! Then I was told they would be sending me a completely new feed water tank with the handle already installed at no cost to me. THAT'S CUSTOMER SERVICE. I LOVE my Waterdrop RO filter. The water tastes great (cold smooth water with no real "taste" at all). My experience is proof that this unit keeps working day after day with no issues (other than that above). I estimate that I've made over 1,300 gallons of water in the past 22 months. The only real mistake I've made is dispensing water into an already full container mindlessly making a nice little mess to clean up!

Disappointed - Bad Tasting Water. Poor Filtration System
By John on Reviewed in the United States on February 16, 2024
After several days and wasting over 15 gallons of water, the water still tastes bad, sort of a stale paper type of taste. The solid particles keeps going up instead of down. The water still registers at 156 after 4 days of use and flushing the system and completely changing the water reserve 7 times. Tap water registers at 177 particulate, Zero water system is as advertised, zero particulates, and is simply a gravity type of filter. again this product registers 156!! I live in a part of the world where water is expensive and at a premium. If this is the norm every time I need to change the filter, then no,,, I will not waster 15 to 20 gallons of water to flush the filter. Item is being returned soon. I wanted it to work, I had high hopes. Deeply disappointed in the bad tasting water. Deeply disappointed in the low quality filtration this system provides. I called Waterdrop customer service. I received textbook scripted responses that were verbatim to the product guide in the box.
