The ability to connect each new strand of 3 lights to the next strand allows you to decorate on multiple levels without a lot of cords. Everything fit the 12 different Department 59 pieces I have. The lighting really makes a difference in how much you can appreciate the decorations after years of not having them lit up.

Bulbs break off easily

I like that you can connect these light strings end to end. It makes it easier to hide the wires for my village houses. You can turn off the entire line using the first on/off switch. BUT... the glass bulbs break off very easily. Be prepared to replace the original bulbs as needed.
