LOVE IT!!

I LOVE this car seat. We got an excellent deal on Black Friday combined with our baby registry discount. Purchased when our daughter was 18 months old. We started out with the Evenflo pivot travel system, which we also loved. She actually still fits in the Evenflo pivot car seat, though not for much longer. The swivel is so easy and convenient to use. I have a very small car (Toyota Prius C) and it fits in my backseat pretty well. The swivel makes it so much easier to get my daughter in and out of my small car. I love that the seat comes off the base for installation, it made it much easier. The cover zips off for washing, kind of a pain in the butt to do in my small car but still doable. This thing will last us for ages, likely until she grows out of needing a car seat! I love the panel for extended rear facing, I plan on rear facing as long as I can. I was even able to flip the seat to forward facing and use it for my nieces (ages 4 and 6) at different times. It’s a tough and sturdy seat. I don’t usually use the app, it can get annoying on a road trip. I do think that if this is the car seat you’re buying to use from newborn age, the app is much more useful! I think I would have liked this feature in our travel system to help my anxiety about forgetting baby in the car. It lets you know the temperature in the seat, if the baby has been buckled in too long, if you walk away from your car leaving the baby buckled in. It’s a great feature to have for a new baby. 10/10 would buy again. I love Evenflo products, we used their bottles and the pivot travel system (still use the stroller), and now this car seat.

Love the rotation but crotch buckle is so short and terrible strap release placing
By MOMahhhh on Reviewed in the United States on December 19, 2023
(Please keep in mind i did read the manual while reading)This is my first time buying a rotating seat and I love that part, never going back! I have back issues and it truly makes it easier for both of us. It rotates 360 too vs 180 or only in rear facing mode (ahem graco and others which is why i tried this). It's extremely easy to rotate one handed. It seems comfortable for my 15 month old whos a bigger baby minus, the buckle at the crotch area really digs into her thighs. I reread the manual and took out as much of the padding as possible so now it just barely digs in. But on medium to long car trips much less in a year or 3, that's not going to be comfortable for her and possibly not be able to use at all. This seat definitely wouldnt be the last carseat we needed due to that alone. Not to mention now I removed padding it's not as comfortable of a seat. My buckle came in the 3rd position so there's no other slot to move it for more room. The other design flaw, to release the straps you literally have to go under the fabric of the carseat, yes, under your child so you're sure to wake them up and push down on a latch then pull the straps. If you have the extender zipped on for their legs, it's really not fun trying to fish around and find where the release latch is. And more than once the strap was twisted or moved to the side, which if so it won't let you pull the straps, so another reach under the seat is necessary. I have a super light sleeper but for any baby or kid this was a terrible choice, very inconvenient and why there's no button on the top to release the straps like basically all carseats have is puzzling. Then, quite frankly it feels slightly janky. As in sometimes it won't click properly like headrest or the rotating and need to do it twice. or the handles for rotating feel or look loose and im not talking about how they are meant to be loose when you pull up to rotate. When you rotate to release the carseat from base you match up arrows but, it's so easy to move it where the arrows aren't perfectly matching anymore while trying to lift the carseat, that you really have to have patience. There's not anything to hold onto while removing from base so that adds to the challenge. It is easy to move the headrest up or down. For us, a 15 month old that weighs 25 lbs and is in the 98th percentile on height: this carseat isn't for us for long term. The crotch buckle is so short and the buckles are shaped poorly so that's uncomfortable and is only going to get worse as she gets bigger. Not to mention most of the seat padding is out just so the buckles wouldnt dig in to where it hurt her. Then the God awful placing of the strap release being under your child where jewelry, nails, or a sleeping baby is all a challenge on top of you can't see it. The price point is very attractive as well as truly rotating 360 degrees which is why I gave it 3 star, and maybe if you have a slim and or petite baby the straps digging in won't be an immediate issue for you. Or at all. UPDATE***After in person testing of all rotating car seats and using this for 2 months plus change my opinion is now: unless you want to spend at least $650.00 on a nuna rotating, this is the best option. I understand some issues might be due to the rotating mechanics since all brands with rotating carseats seem to have similar issues. But besides nuna, this one rotates the easiest and feels safest. The maxi cosi is a bit more expensive than this but, same issues with the crotch buckle being short and you definitely need 2 hands to rotate. I rarely have 2 hands available plus i do prefer the evenflo overall. The lower priced fully rotating seats are just a big no. safety firsts rotating shouldn't even be on the market imo, it's a hot mess and was so easy to knock out of the lock by simply wiggling the seat. I don't see how it could hold up in a wreck. The nuna has a low weight/height limit so it didn't make sense to invest the money into it. This one won't be the last carseat as we hoped either. but the nuna would last the same time frame or possibly less due to the limits with a now 100th percentile in height baby. Again, with a smaller built baby this might not be an issue for you. I've moved the padding around more to where at least for now, isn't digging into her chunky legs and she seems comfortable.
