Large suitcase but not sturdy

I purchased this suitcase for a 2 week trip to Europe. I was impressed with how light the suitcase was as well as how roomy it was. Unfortunately, 2 days into my trip, the zipper split in half and I ended up having to put everything into trash bags until I could get to a city with a store to buy new luggage. My wife had the same suitcase and the exact same problem with the zipper but was able to rig it to stay closed until we got home.
